How many wins?

Now that the roster is mostly in shape and I think there’s still 1 or 2 moves left at most, how many wins at minimum will you be happy with and to call it progress, a step in the right direction?

I would be pissed at 20 considering we were starting Killian livers Knox etc last year, considering half the team sat on the bench most of the season.
22 means no improvement to me and Monty would’ve done the same with this roster.
24 is okay but it means a Charlotte, Portland, Spurs of last year type of season which I consider to be a failure
27 wins is fair, right direction in my opinion. I think we can get to 30 but it’s predicated on Duren’s health and defensive improvement. At 27 I think that’s the sweet number. Still sucks overall but we won’t be the worst team in the league anymore which is the goal next season in my opinion.
Anyone speaking about tanking anymore deserves the team to fall back to the 5-7th pick again. NBA is very serious about punishing teams tanking and we’ve felt it enough. No conspiracy, losing on purpose is mismanagement and i’m sick and tired of that. How about Ausar Ivey Duren Holland gets better than Cooper? Not possible? That’s why this organization sucks then and will continue to suck even with Cooper. It means we can’t develop anyone and don’t deserve high end talent in the lottery. I truly believe that’s how the NBA operates now. I’m not talking conspiracy, this is a business and I wouldn’t put Wenbenyama on the pistons either with last year’s front office. The punishment brought on needed change and you can all feel it already with all these veterans signed. I’m actually expecting we get in the top 4 in the draft because of our willingness to improve this offseason.

Ah did the poll before reading the question. I voted my prediction. For what I’ll be happy with, it’ll be more about how they play than the w/l

Is there any way to make the poll have ranges of wins? Mine is vast, but I am not comfortable saying 30, but would be saying 25-30.

That’s why I placed 27, good average. I expect the same range as well.

How many wins make me happy? Enough to make the playoffs. Progress? Hard to say being a lottery teams frustrating at this point I guess I would say like 38-40

If everything breaks right, maybe 32.
Realistically, 26.

I think close to 30 isn't too unrealistic, wouldn't be sad if we are competitive and the youth are looking promising but we fall short of a lot of wins and up our lottery odds. I'd rather not transmit the pick to the Knicks this year and would love a lottery ball shot at some of the top talent in this coming draft. I'm not saying I want to see tanking. Hoping this is a 'proof of concept' year that our youth can develop and/or increase value when surrounded by parts that fit.

I blame Monty for at least 10 losses last season. With a decent coach combined with greater depth and actual NBA players added to the roster, I see 30 wins, maybe a couple more.

Before the offseason moves started I would have been fine with a jump to 24-25 wins, but I think with this roster, I would raise that expectation to 27-28.
I would only be excited for 30+ if it's really on the backs of Cade/Ivey/Ausar/Duren/Holland/Sasser/Stewart. I need to see a couple of those guys take a real leap.
If Beasley, THJ and Tobias are carrying us toward 33 wins an a #11 overall pick in a stacked draft and the young guys look stagnant, I don't think that's a good direction either. Internal growth is still way more important for this team than Win/Loss record, as long as we get out from that bottom 2-3 teams in the league range.

If we're healthy for the most part - 28.

If we can stay healthy and things click, I think we can win in the 28-32 games range. Maybe up to 35 if a couple guys take a bigger leap than expected. Ausar? Ivey? Duren? I have no idea how these guys will look under a new system and competent coach.

Being optimistic, I put 24. That's a 10 win jump and would be a big step in the right direction.

Everybodys way too low on wins do you realise they changed half the team with 100% better players ?
the team under achieved last year and tanked to get to 14 wins.
Example 24 wins LOL your crazy low you can get to 24 wins by just changing the coach,
now add in all the players and you get to 45-50 wins they can make history on a list of biggest changes in wins from year to year.
It will be nice to prove all of you wrong at the end of the season i will repost this.
These teams show that it can be done below:
2007-08 Boston Celtics – 42-wins turnaround · 1997-98 San Antonio Spurs turnaround– 36 wins · 1989-90 San Antonio Spurs turnaround – 35 wins · 2004-05 Phoenix Suns – 33 wins turnaround ...
1997-98 San Antonio Spurs, who went from 20 – 62 the season prior to 56-26 the next. Boston went 24-58 in 2006-07, gave the Celtics a 60-15 record so far that season (they would finish 66-16,

You seem to ignore the part where the Spurs added a healthy David Robinson and Tim Duncan. 2 1st ballot Hall of Famers.
And the Celtics added 2 hall of famers in their prime in Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen
Even the Suns added a 2-time MVP and 1st ballot hall of famer in Steve Nash.
Unless you think Tim Hardaway Jr and Tobias Harris are this level of player, I think your expectations are a little out of whack lol.

I've seen this elsewhere, and also about undervaluing the teams talent in trades.
It is all about being broken, mentally, as a fan. I am a super positive person. Always look on the bright side. I annoy the hell out of people with it at times. In no universe am I going to pick this team to win more then 30 games.
We just went through this song and dance last year. Literally, last year. Now we have a whole new group of stooges being rolled out, telling us about a new and improved rhythm to said song and dance. Sorry, not sorry, I ain't buying it. Adding some washed vets, and Ausars clone, is not going to make me change my mind. Been many a year we've watched this team struggle, and I expect the same results as last year, only with a nice sheen on the dog turd.
I'm in prove it mode.
