The magical ride continues. Sweep Houston 2-0 in Houston. Unreal.

They have now gone 33-12 in their last 45 games.

Next up: Cleveland.

This has really been super fun to watch.

I started paying attention to them in August.. mainly just looking at the playoff pct which was at like 1-2% and then they just kept winning... Making the playoffs was crazy stuff... and their pitching outside of a few hiccups has been fantastic in these two games....

Unexpected but a really great way to occupy myself during the final offseason dregs...

Yeah, this is legitimately exciting.

They were left for dead in the middle of the season- they were even sellers at the trade deadline. Such a great story to see them rally like this.

The crazy thing is almost everyone on their roster is young and only making $700k per year. Check out their spotrac. Many teams have one player making more then the entire roster. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/detroit-tigers/payroll/_/year/2024

Yeah, they don't have a lot of veteran salary on the roster, and their only two big ticket contracts are pretty much dead weight.

They've got quite a few guys who are obviously overperforming and will need to be paid if we want to keep them. Still, it's a great position to be in.

Huge win for the Tigers today. Games 3 & 4 back home should be lit. Wednesday & Thursday afternoon. Win both, we close it out. Even with one win, we get Skubal back for Game 5 in Cleveland.

What a finish. Couple not believe my eyes when he hit that homer. My wife and kid couldn't understand why I was yelling so much hahaha

The Tigers have beaten the Yankees three times in the playoffs since I’ve been watching baseball. Once was in the ALCS (in 2006 with rookie Verlander).

Sure hope we get a chance to do it again.
