THJ sat the bench last game. Today he starts. I hope this isn't going to be an issue...

This offense already looks better than last season. JB is using Cade and Jaden together better too.

2nd unit needs a better ball handler/playermaker Sasser is not it.

Ivey is going to have to play some backup pg, which shouldn't be too hard since JB will probably stagger he and Cade's minutes. Both coaches keep trying to play Sasser at the 1, but he's a 2 and he shot 40% from 3 as a rookie. Good defender. Don't waste his strength.

Nice win…especially since Cavs played their starters most of the 3rd and we sat starters after like 8 mins into the game.

JB revenge game.

I saw the Cavs broadcast (Brad Dougherty, etc) and they kept praising JB all game long.

Why has Kingman missed the preseason? The injury doesn't sound like it should have kept out this long.

Any word on when Auser Thompson will be available?

Yeah, im doubling down on my feelings that the Pistons are going to be vastly improved this season. 11th seed, just miss out on the play-in.

Team has actual NBA talent up and down the roster. Team has an actual head coach running real NBA plays. Team has actual spacing around Cade.

Super excited to watch an adequate team for the first time since 2018!

Nice end to the preseason. Starters came out and built a nice lead and got the rest of the night off. Bench guys managed to hold on against the cavs starters. Nice to see font's jumper back after being MIA all preseason.

Frankly, that was about as good of a preseason as we could have hoped for giving Ausar's issues. Ivey looks much more committed defensively and obviously more confident offensively. Duren blocked about 2x more shots per minute than his prior year. Ron looks like he'll be able to contribute some defense and energy this year while he works on the rests.

For the team, the ball moved on offense. That really hasn't happened the last couple years. The spacing is obviously much improved. Defensively, everyone seems to be working and helping each other. Lots of mistakes to clean up still, but nobody was a major liability. Having actual 2-way players makes a big difference.

Anyway, we still aren't going to be a good team this year, but this looks like real NBA basketball, not the trash we suffered through recently.

Now they've got a full week to get back to camp and prepare for the season.

Shooting percentage doesn't tell the whole story. Sasser's a very reluctant shooter off the catch and I doubt (haven't looked) that his off the catch percentages are as good as his overall percentages. I loves to dribble into step back threes, which means he loves having the ball in his hands. Not a great PG but also not a great off-ball offensive player. Puts in defensive effort, but he's held back by his size. I hope he doesn't see many minutes this season.
