I like early games. Hope they can actually win this one. Too bad the twins can't both play.

I'm down in Houston now for the Lions game. Wish this game was here.

interesting matchup really. the rockets are a solid offensive team and a good defensive team. they're solid offensively but don't take/make a lot of 3s and generally don't hit shots at a very high rate at all. they do, however, lead the league both in lowest turnover % and offensive rebound %. so really they just maximize the amount of their possessions.

on the other hand, we don't force a ton of turnovers but are one of the best defensive rebounding teams in the league, though it'd help if duren was playing. so far cade and harris have been great rebounding the ball which i think is something that has really flown under the radar so far.

just hope it's a good game!

Good sports day. NFL Sunday, a Pistons team that's watchable finally in the afternoon and the best team in the NFL playing tonight.
This will be a good litmus test for the Pistons. The Rockets are where the Pistons hope to be either this year or next.

Bit of a rough start, but at least there haven't been a ton of whistles slowing down the action. This is OKish.

BBall Paul doing work. That was a great tip out even though we missed the shot. Love the effort.

I can tell the team is better -- I'm yelling at my TV more!

With the head band on he looks like Josh Smith out there.

A point guard would be nice.

Ridiculous that we don't have one.

Yeah, Cade gets a lot, but he's double-teamed (triple-teamed last year), but is Top 5/10 in assists, while Ivey has 5 turnovers and 0 assists. These turnovers either become points, or fouls.

With Tyus Jones handling the ball we'd have an extra win or two for sure.

It's why Phoenix started out 7-1.. THey signed the 2 best ast/to in the last 40 years -- Tyus and Monte Morris

we haven't really had an answer for houston's physicality/aggressiveness all night.

houston's gotten away with a lot of it but it's one of those situations where the refs can't call a foul every play.

Rockets announcer keep praising him "especially playing on one leg, he has some kind of injury"

I had high hopes for Monte as a Piston, but CTC Coach thought Killian was the future. <sigh>
