Not many times the past few years where I thought the game was absolutely a game we should/will win, but I feel like this is a game we should/will win. This is our last home game and then the team is on a west coast road trip until we come back to play at home again on New Years Day.

Team is a little thin with injuries, but Harris being out will continue to get Ausar going.
Cade
Ivey
Beasley
Ausar
Duren

Ivey is doubtful and Harris is probable so if that holds true it would be interesting to see what lineup JB goes with... probably...
Cade + Beasley + THJ + Harris + Duren
but I'd prefer to see....
Cade + THJ + Ausar + Harris + Duren

When we play the Jazz it doesn't seem to matter what either teams roster looks like. These Pistons v Jazz games have seemed cursed for us for at least the last 20 years.

Longer than that. I hate playing against Utah.

Make sure you vote for Cade, for the all-star game. Opened today.

Starting to feel a tad Ewing theory about Ivey ... doesn't hurt that we're statistically better with Cade and Beasley on the floor than Cade and Ivey.

If you look at our 4 man units that have played at least 70 minutes together this season....
The worst net ratings are:
Harris + Hardaway + Beasley + Duren @ -26.9
Ivey + Hardaway + Beasley + Duren @ -23.4
The best net ratings are:
Harris + Beasley + Cade + Duren +8.7
Beasley + Stewart + Cade + Font +7.8
It's interesting that Beasley is in our two best units an our two worst units. Not surprising that Hardaway is in our two worst units.

Hell yeah. Been a one man army more or less. Only player I have been happy about besides him is Beasley tbh.
Now wait for everyone to rank him like 15th of players under 25. And then try to tell the 14 players above him to carry this suspect roster to a play-in spot

Ivey and Tobias are ball-stoppers but at least Tobias plays decent defense and does rebound. He also doesn't make many mistakes. Hopefully provides leadership.
Cade deserves to play with at least one all-star.. There's no reason to wait until he wants out. And fans have had 15 years of losing, and I believe attendance and also energy from the crowd matters a lot. Not just during the game, but their confidence. If we go from #1 to #25 in attendance, it might have a bad effect on them like that one team with a worse record at home than on the road.

We need to add at least one high level iso scorer (typically means an all-star) and at least one perimeter point of attack defender to this roster. Bonus if we can add a high level rim protector. Could be by the draft, trades, free agency, but that's what we need to get the team to the next level.
Cade and Beasley and Beefstew and Ausar are the building blocks, imo.

I'm genuinely curious what people's opinions of Sasser would be if he wasn't a Piston.
