Something seems off about his game.
I don’t think he just fell off a cliff athletically or talent-wise.
I just can’t put my finger on.
Hopefully he’ll snap out of it.

He can't finish through any sort of contact, it's so irritating.

I wasnt excited about the signing, but I thought it was a good move, but he's been very underwhelming so far.
I'm sure he's a good locker room guy, but FFS hit a corner 3.

I had high hopes for him but feels like a good game from Tobias is few and far between currently. His three point shooting seems to have regressed too. Hopefully he can figure it out soon.

I will say, he's been better defensively than I thought he would be. Especially early int he season I think he was great until Giannis went off on us twice. But for the money we're paying him, he's been super disappointing when looking at his TS%. The thing is though, he's about 33% from deep thus far this season... if he finds a groove and shoots 37% to 38% the rest of the season (like he has most of the seasons in his career) he becomes much more of a positive impact player for us its just for whatever reason he's about 5% off from where he needs to be from deep.
The best thing is, we didn't sign him for 3 or 4 years we essentially have a year and a half left with him. I mentioned in the other post we should be splitting time with him and Ausar pretty close to 24 MPG each with how well Ausar has played and with Tobias not yet really finding his shot this season.

Should be moved to the bench and replaced by Tek. Tobias greatest strength this season has been his ability to create his own offense, which is something that we could use in the second unit, but is largely redundant when sharing the court with Cade and often Ivey. All the things we need from that spot, Tek does better. Against other teams second unit, it should also become more effective.

This is exactly why Bogey wasn't a good fit on this team. They don't need a 3rd shot creator in the starting lineup, they need guys that can play off of Cade and Ivey and Harris isn't good as a spot up shooter/ball mover. A stretch 3 or 4 that can shoot and defend in his spot would be a big upgrade but those aren't exactly easy to find. If Ausar could shoot, he'd be the ideal fit because of his defense and off ball cutting ability but his lack of shooting makes a path to the starting lineup a murky one at best.

Bahahahahh that's hilarious. I was actually going to pick doritos cause I'm a big fan of nacho cheese ones lol but I didn't choose any option. I might have been embarrassed by this call out if I did that hahaha

How about MPJ from Denver? Gordon is injured and out for a bit so they could use some depth. Tobias and Fontecchio works

On the other hand, no way am I giving up a Miss Vickie's for Tobias!
Now the Doritos answer makes a lot more sense.

Again, Santi would just be the perfect fit over bum Harris. Great athlete who can shoot and pass who is a big lob target as well. Thats the wet dream - basically a Fontecchio++

We aren't trading tobias, nor should we. He's a huge part of restoring professionalism to this team. He's also he's the only 2-way forward on the roster. We need more guys like that, not fewer.
And it terms of offensive creation, we desperately need that in the starting lineup as well as in the bench unit. Cade has obviously taken a big leap this year, but good NBA teams don't just pound the ball through their star on every possession like we are doing. Eventually we are going to need a big upgrade to the 3/4 slot be to be competitive with the good teams, but swapping out harris for a worse player isn't getting us closer to that.
