This is the absolute, without question, the last chance the Pistons have to get to .500 They have to beat two terrible teams in the Hornets, and Blazers, but, sandwiched inbetween are the Wolves.
I don't have high hopes, but this is it. A win tonight, 16-18, then the Wolves. Beat them, the shot at .500 is real.

Fontecchio still out.
Pistons laying 7 is shocking under the circumstances.
Wonder if Tobias plans to step up and earn an nba contract in consecutive games. Not his own contract, obviously.

Oh, by the way. Most people may not know, that teams now have to report their lineups pretty early. If your ever wondering?

I like that.. Beasley might be best suited off the bench, especially since we have no other scorers from the bench... I still hope Sasser plays alongside Cade. Sasser is a 2 in a 1's body, and so he can be his normal 41% shooter, which is impressive since he did it last year, despite no regular minutes (if he played at all).. He's been referred to as "shoe leather" for his toughness, and he hustles, defends, but he just can't play the 1, which is the situation JB and Monty have put him in (instead of the President going and getting a backup 1)

This makes the most sense. Keeps Beasley in his defined role off the bench. Ausar has been playing well and is now getting his conditioning back so deserves more minutes.

Damn. Games of interest for Detroit. (standings. Its exciting to actually pay attention to this after opening week! Current record 15-18 9th seed )
(4th seed)Orlando(20-15)@Raptors
(7th seed)Hawks(18-16)@Lakers
I'll try and put this in every game thread, while the team is actually in the thick of things.

This doesn't sound like a guy who might be planning on switching teams next season... Money obviously will be the deciding factor but props to him for remaining invested in his teammates.

LaMelo and Miller both out for this one. Even with us missing Ivey this should really be a blowout in our favor.

Wendell Moore Jr starting, interesting. Guessing he will get 5-6 mins at the start of each half but otherwise it will be a three guard rotation of Cade/Beasley/Sasser.

Only reasons I can think is that Ausar's conditioning is not thought to be ready for starter's minutes, or JB wants to keep a bit more spacing in the starting group.

Regardless of where he ends up (I hope here) it still shows good character.

Surprising to see Moore Jr get the start they must not have wanted to break up the bench unit synergy.
