Lots of stats to go over here, but whats important is the progress. The rate of improvement from these Detroit Pistons, has been absolutely astounding. Astonishing really. Is it so far fetched that a team starting Harris, and THJ could be considered a dark horse contender? I get it. I know how that sounds. With that said, the proof is in the pudding as they say.

The trajectory of this team is crazy. Add the correct piece(s), and this team could be a contender, as early as next season. I just can't wrap my mind around it.

Harris recalled a conversation he had with a player earlier in the season, regarding body language and sending the right message to his teammates. “It’s understanding you have to have that ultra confidence in yourself, but also know that your demeanor, your body language is an important element of this team,” he said. “You can’t be the one guy upset when everyone is rolling. Understanding a large goal of what we’re trying to do as a team, but also understanding it’s a long season. The difference the vets have made on the team's confidence and sustained effort has been otherworldly

During a recent interview at NBA Today with ESPN’s Malika Andrews, Duren gave Stewart his flowers when asked about the successful 2024-25 campaign the Detroit Pistons are having.

“I see that about once or twice every game. He’s been like unreal this year in terms of his defensive presence,” Duren said about Stewart. “In my opinion, I think it’s obvious all defensive teams. If you’re not watching you wouldn’t know, but if you’re watching you’d know this guy has been amazing all year.”

“Oh man, it feels great hearing that from my dog pound member,” Stewart replied. “He obviously sees how much effort I give on the defensive end and to hear that from him it means a lot because we’re partners, we’re working together every day trying to make each other better.”
