Michigan and Michigan State have both advanced to the Sweet 16, and are in the same Region. So they are playing in the same sub-tournament in Atlanta. I'm pretty sure this has never happened before - both teams, and their fans, in the same arena tonight. And both playing SEC teams in SEC country. Sparty plays Ole Miss at 7, followed by UM v. Auburn at 9:30. It'll be fascinating to see whether the UM faithful show up early and root on State. And likewise, whether Spartan fans stick around after their game to cheer for UM.

I'll be rooting for the Pistons, but my attention will be in Atlanta tonight. It's a must-see situation. Good luck to both schools.

My best friend lives in Atlanta. He has strong Michigan connections and scored a family section ticket really cheap. I’m jealous. He’s about to head out to root against MSU and for UM.

Me, I support both unless they play each other. I actually transferred and went to both programs as an undergraduate, and then continued at Michigan post-grad. The student fanbases like to rip on each other, but both are fabulous places in slightly different ways.

It will be wild if they both win. They would play each other on Sunday, winner goes to the Final Four!

Hope they both win regardless because I hate the SEC

Its kind of cool seeing Izzo steering his group on one last ride, Auburn needs to be taken down and its another Sparty Final Four.

You cant be certain if we see Izzo make it again with him being in the twi-light stages of a HOF coaching career..

Something im really trying to appreciate while its still in view.
