Re: #75 - Pistons@Wolves - 7pm ET
Cade missing his 4th game is a little worrisome, not gonna lie. I've read all the reports, heard what JB had to say, but you gotta think, with a very, very real chance at nabbing the 4th seed, and hosting a playoff series, Cade would be out on the floor, if this wasn't something at least semi-serious.
I mean, yeah the team has proven they can win without Cade, but at some point, especially on the road, its going to be insanely difficult to do so. If Schroder doesn't play as well, it goes from improbable, to neigh impossible to win this game.
Just a little worried that whatever Cade is dealing with, is a little worse then they are saying.

Yep me too, but it could also be them knowing that they're pretty much locked into a playoff spot playing it cautious with Cade to get him up to full strength for the playoffs. It might be one of those situations where he'd be playing if it was a playoff game or if they were in a struggle to just get into the playoffs or at least that's what I hope.

Re: #75 - Pistons@Wolves - 7pm ET
Cade sat out the minute he got 66 games (NBA requirement for awards), so I'm guessing it's something he's been dealing with. He had some unusual not-so-great games and hope it's nothing serious. Bad timing. The regular season will be over in 2 weeks. Tobias and Dennis are both dealing with stuff. THJ had an ankle sprain. I just don't like it all happening now. We've had the best story and more than my 35-win estimation and in 2025, we've been a heck of a team, getting better.

Definitely worrisome, but I also imagine seeding is not as important as a completely healthy Cade for the postseason. Plus, you can easily see it as winning by losing the way the Knicks and Pacers have both been going. I do see it as encouraging and nothing too serious if Cade is moving from "OUT" to "DOUBTFUL".
Unless Schroeder can't play, the game should still be fun.

I’d like to see us experiment more with Stewart at the 4 and Reed at the center if we’re going to missing half the normal rotation. It might useful experience for short minutes in the playoffs against the Bucks

I’m sure our overall health is much more important to the team than seeding - Cade’s health especially. We only need to win 2 of our last 8 games to guarantee a playoff spot, and that’s assuming the magic win all of their last 7 games to avoid the play-in.

Rather rest Cade for the Playoffs than pushing him out there now not 100%. I am fine with that.

Under new head coach J.B. Bickerstaff and a revamped front office, Detroit has reshaped its identity with a deeper roster, veteran additions, and one of the league’s more versatile young wings in Ausar Thompson. “They’re funny. They’re fun,” Thompson told RG about playing for the current Pistons coaching staff. “They’re serious when it’s time to be serious … but they know in an 82-game season you still have to have that fight. I just remember going out here playing hard, for real. But they get on you when it’s time to get on you.”
“We’re all together. We’re like brothers,” Thompson said. “It’s like a family. So just being able to talk to each other, and know it’s coming from a place of love and that, at the end of the day, we all want to win.”
The Pistons have been eager to promote Stewart as a Defensive Player of the Year candidate. Thompson didn’t hesitate when asked if Isaiah Stewart should at least receive an All-Defensive Team nod. “Yeah, 1,000%,” Thompson said. “I don’t see people scoring on him too often at the basket. Maybe because his name isn’t big enough, people don’t talk about him as much. They like to talk about when he gets into it, but people don’t know — he’s getting into it because he’s getting the other person frustrated. He’s scared of no one. I think he’s the best rim protector in the league.

Omari Sankofa II: Chris Finch on JB Bickerstaff: “It’s incredible. He’s given them an identity. Everywhere he’s been he’s done the same things — they’re tough, they defend … I voted for him for Coach of the Year. For me it’s not even a contest, what he’s done there.”

Omari Sankofa II: JB Bickerstaff on the team winning without Cade Cunningham: “A lot of it has to do with they don’t want to let them down. He’s earned so much of their respect in putting this team together and helping it evolve and grow …they’ve individually gone out and tried to be the best version of themselves.”

As long as Cade is ready to go come playoff time I'm happy, let him get to 100%.
