Do we want 5th seed? We keep beating the Knicks

Pacers are only 1 game back of the 3 seed and still very much alive for it. I also think the Knicks might rather face the Cavs in the 2nd round instead of a 2nd round matchup with the Celtics so there is some real thought on their part about possibly sliding into the 4th seed to avoid Boston as long as possible.

The Knicks carry the tiebreaker because they took 2 of 3 from Indiana this year, so their magic number is one and they get to play the Nets for the last game of the season.

It's very likely the Knicks secure the 3rd unless I'm reading things wrong. Someone please correct me if I am.

But yes, the Pacers are still mathmatically alive for 3. That's absolutely true.

Damn.. I looked at ESPN and was surprised they had no one (besides Ivey) as even Questionable and then read this
https://motociclismo.pt/en/isaiah-stewart-faces-knee-inflammation-setback-as-pistons-prepare-for-crucial-clash-against-knicks-in-must-win-showdown/

I hate that word 'setback' especially for Stew - who looked like he was having trouble in the 1st half running up and down the floor. When it came to defending KAT, he did a great job.

Yes, Stewart looked a little lame yesterday. Hopefully, with these two weeks of rest, it'll clear up and he'll be back to full health.

Beasley - questionable (illness)
He is the only Piston who hasn't missed a game this year. Ron only missed one for the suspension.

Ausar shoots so many end of the quarter 3's that have almost no chance going in, which is why I like him.. He doesn't play for stats - he plays for the Pistons.

Poor giannis. He's all alone out there. Time to trade him to the D!

It’s almost simpler if we just lose this game — but I’m never down for losing on purpose unless it’s tanking for a pick.

If we do lose, we’re locked into 6th, the next game doesn’t matter, and everyone can rest. It does, however, leave the decision in the Knicks (and Pacers) hands on whether they want to play us.

I’m torn. I definitely want the Knicks, but I want it to be legit, too.

Resting everyone and playing the Knick's feels like the safest route
