Why do you want to give up on our players so quick? What the f has Herb and Trey done in NO, nothing? No thanks

No thx. Ausar is #2 asset behind Cade.

Keep our youngsters. Trade our draft capital instead of.

Huge step backwards. Jones is nothing special. Murphy is coming off his first real good season and has missed 20+ games in three of his four seasons.

Thoughts:

#1 New Orleans would never do that, their guys have done more.
#2 Greatly accelerates our future salary problems.
#3 Trading Ron would be a mistake.
#4 Gives us six starters, someone will be very upset.

I’ve got to believe that Ausar is as close to untouchable as can be. Holland might be a different story.

That trade is wildly off-base in terms of both CBA legality and plausibility.

I would love this but the numbers don’t work and zero chance the Pels would entertain this. I would be happy to trade quite the sum for Murphy since he as good shooter with size, athleticism and defence but I can’t think of a read which makes sense from their perspective. Would be the perfect pairing for Cade though

Trade checker says the numbers work

Just funny some replies says it’s terrible for us and others say the Pels wouldn’t touch it

I think Detroit is better off developing our guys while they're cheap. Ausar, especially, could be the best player of the group.

Which trade checker were you using? Has it updated the most recent moves?

If you look at the moves NOR has made like trading their 1st round pick without protections (which also included a pick swap) they look like they are trying to compete instead of building assets so trading their most consistent scorer in Murphy who can hit 3’s at a good clip on high volume and defend it doesn’t make sense for them to trade for a defence only player in Thompson and this is without including Herb who’s on a good deal and also a defender.

On the Pistons side, I think it ultimately comes down to how you view Thompson and while his defence is great I don’t ever see his shooting developing into at least passable which significantly decreases his value. I like Ron but if could get Murphy for this deal you do it every time. Murphy is the exact player you would want on this team who could play 2-4 and if even say I would prefer Murphy over Markkanen for our team

With Weaver liking his players, Ivey and Duren should be dangled here. Weaver might even be one to pay full price for Ivey now as he scouted him hard and drafted him so would believe in his ultimate upside.
Weaver = Hinkie
VW to Portland
