Feels like it's been forever since they lost that heartbreaker to the Knicks. While I do think the Pistons are being a bit overhyped by the pundits, it's been a nice change of pace for the first time in like 15 years to see a Pistons team that has real hope going into a season and not just playoff hopes but playoff expectations. Lets see how the group handles the weight of expectations and the loss of very key vets in Beasley and Schroder.

So nice to not have that draft pick owed worry on the teams shoulders anymore. Lets play and see what happens!

I don't think most of us were all that worried about that owed pick. I'm sure we all preferred if we didn't owe a pick, but when we started winning games I don't really recall there being a significant voice on this forum saying "woah, hold up there- don't wanna win too much and lose that draft pick!".
But yeah, it's certainly nice to know that we have our pick this year (unless TL chooses to trade it- which does not feel like his style).

Levert (knee) is day-to-day and listed as probable.
Sasser is doubtful (hip)

CANNOT, I repeat, CANNOT let Buzelis punk us tonight.
Need to play super physical with him. I see a lot of people putting him as their Most Improved prediction.

I know this is a bad, but I'm ready for the Duncan Robinson experience to be over.
What I am excited for is another Cade leap. Really, a good year for the Pistons means he's getting some MVP nods (top five let's say). Everything else is probably secondary to the team's development.

How is Killian Hayes related to the owed pick? Wasn't it done to get Stew?

Sucks Ivey is out again, and it even less time for the team to gel. I was expecting a hot start to the season, but with(I'm assuming)Duncan starting, it could be a little bumpy.
We'll see. Not gonna be able to watch the season opener tonight(first time in forever)but ill be a box score warrior.

Damn, I missed "Inside the NBA on ESPN" - usually prefer that over the game, but it's also something to kill time before our Pistons win

Hopefully preseason Cade carries over and he doesn’t start the season sluggish again

Wow no way we lose this game. The bulls intros are the worst I’ve ever seen. They can’t be hyped after that.

Javonte Green will only play if we're in foul trouble, or injuries, but he's interesting. Has a bit of toughness, swag, and can hit a 3 and lock someone down. Probably not consistently but injuries are inevitable and that 10th man is kinda important.

Do they still play Alan Parsons Project "Sirius"?
Gotta win tonight. We need a good start.
