The last game was the highest rated game of the season(TV ratings).

This time they'll be hopefully both on huge winning streaks...

This is about as big of a regular season game you will get IMO.

the game is on Saturday, not friday I believe.. =)

also, not to play devils advocate but I am going to post in any board on this entire site it's my right as a poster. I will follow the rules and not start anything but I don't see how you can start to threaten people, and say they will be suspended for posting in the celtics board.. gimmie a break.

oh and Nasty, you got my vote for poster of the year baby! Keep up the hard work. I'll unblock you from MSN once you clean your virus

I can't wait for this one! I bought a couple of great tickets for this game. I am pumped! BillCartwrightdaman, Tara and I are going to this one. If you ever decide to leave Brazil and come HOME, maybe you would be able to enjoy going to games instead of watching them on a crappy quality stream.

My prediction: Close game
Pistons - 88
Celtics - 85

I can't help but look forward to this game, sorry Toronto fans but this is a REAL game right here.

I predict a Celtics loss, something like 85-87 with Billups drawing a shooting foul in the closing seconds and hitting both to lift the Pistons. Wait a second, didn't that already...

Never mind, if you guys win this one, you are definitely better and I think we would also lose the East Finals if we met you. If we win, however, you only need to have a look at the record to say who is better. To me, this game is as crucial as it can get.

You know, ESPN keeps talking about how Boston fans keep bringing up the fact that the Celtics were 1 bucket away from winning two of their three losses and an OT loss at Cleveland away from being a perfect 30-0. So I took a look at their schedule and they are also an OT win @ Toronto; a 1 pt win over Miami at home; a 1 pt win over Charlotte at Charlotte; and a close one against Houston at home away from being 23-7... so maybe they can shut up about close games.

I see it being a close game again with our starters logging big minutes. Expect it to be physical and both teams complaining about the refs. As for the outcome... who knows.

Regular season games mean everything... to teams that have won nothing.

^ ^ ^ Genius.

This will be a big game and I'm excited about it, but it too means nothing in the long term. Regular season matchups rarely equate to playoff matchups. By the time May comes around, both of these teams will look different and will be playing different ball.

Before the last game, I said that championships aren't won in December. They aren't won in January either. If the Pistons are dominant Saturday, I still expect a close 7-game ECF. If the Celtics are dominant, I still expect a close 7-game ECF.

That said, I want this game more than any regular season game I can think of in a while. Putting Boston down again would reduce all the slobbering over that team.

I live near Boston and relish any opportunity to lord it over these slappies. But while another win would be sweet, I remember that Indy used to own us in the regular season. Can't get too excited.

You're looking at it the wrong way. Regular season records and matchups are both notoriously inaccurate predictors.

Barring a tanking by either team between now and the end of the season, we wont know which team is better until the likely matchup in the ECF.
