As bad as some teams are at the bottom of the field, there are still some tough match-ups for the Pistons. The Cavs and Bulls present some problems and the Nets would be no push overs either.

Yeah, I noticed the other day; the #4 seed in the East is basically a .500 team. That would be 9th in the West. Sad.

Arent the Hawks the 4 seed right now?

Seriously, I'm starting to think the East will never be stronger than the west...

But I do think some West teams might come over here and struggle with the brand of basketball played here, its more sloppy, rough, and slow.

After we beat Indy twice we were the only team in the Central with a winning record. What up with that?

I agree. Over the last 2 years we've played the Cavs 21 times and the Bulls 14 times. The same with the Pacers back when we won it in 2004. The sheer familiarity with the Pistons and being division rivals make them dangerous regardless of their record.

I thought we played everyone in our Division 4 times per year & the rest of the east 4-3-4-3?

Counting preseason and playoffs I'm guessing

Anyway I've given up defending the rest of the east, as long as we're good nothing else matters.

haha, I totally forgot about our series w/ them 2 years ago. Dunno how I did that. Guess it didn't leave much of an impression.

Maybe zeebneeb should bust out with the Sheed/Joe Louis fist to jog your memory.

Big problem is the lottery. Seattle and Portland who were not powerhouses will only make the west better real soon with Durant and Oden.

The East is ridiculous. The fact that Miami and New York still have an outside chance to make the playoffs proves this.

Even though talented players moved from the west to the east, only one team has really benefited: Boston. Randolph actually made his new team worse; Lewis is a good player but really was just paid like a superstar and JRich has been playing well but Charlotte is still a bottom-feeder.

Meanwhile, the west is still so jam-packed with talented teams that Portland has had to win 14 of 15 just to make the 7th seed! What a difference.

I believe that the Celtics aside, no team poses a threat. I just don't see a letdown to a pathetic team like Cleveland this year.
