The Offical Get Rid of Tayshaun thread

I'm really starting to hate the guy.

He is a pussy on offense.

His once "stellar" defense is on the decline.

If we play a team with a average or better SF he gets his scrawny ass handed to him.

Maybe we can trade him for Josh Howard :)

I've been saying this for ages. He may be a decent glue guy, but my mother has bigger balls than he does.

Battier + Bonzi Wells for Prince + Hayes works in the checker!

Bonzi is a very good rebounding guard which would help us, and Battier is a solid role player who plays nice D.

Tay + Brezec + Murray + First rounder sould be able to get us a good create your own shot small forward.

What about Maggette? I know his BBIQ is dreadful, but he has the size and athleticism to match up with the Pierces, Howards and Lebrons of the league. At least a better chance that TP.

My roommates and I have been complaining about him all season.

I'd even go as far as saying Ron Artest, but Davidson would never allow it.

Yes, first it was trade Rip Hamilton. Now, its trade Tayshaun.

IF you're gonna do it go all out; Tay + Amir + Expirings + picks = Marion.

The only problem here is he plays PF for Phx so would have to find a 3rd team or maybe include Maxiell or something.

Herrmann could play PF in PHX's system.

i wouldn't go as far as trading him just yet.....not this season anyway. However, in games like today he should be benched early for Hayes/Afflalo (both of whom seem to be defending better).

If the Pistons could get Marion, they should definitely go for it

and why exactly would Phoenix want Tay when they have Grant Hill, Diaw and Marion? all 3 are better than Tay at the moment...

exactly.... They'd have more interest in Max than tay.

The thing about tay thats really pissing me off is this should have been his breakout year. The year where hes more of a focus on offense & playing with that hustle on defense like he did his 1st 3 1/2 years.

He just seems lost out there. I thought the competition from hayes, afflalo, & now herrman would step his game up. Now I think it couldve actually caused him to lose confidence in himself.

If there was a weak link from our big 4 I would say its tay. Billups & rip make each better. Sheed we need for that interior D & post game(when hes in the mood to play down low atleast).

Maybe hes just "burned out" from playing ball. He has played a boatload of big games, long tourneys, & even longer playoff runs than most have at his age.

I'd be all for it but that's probably unrealistic. Suns would like to get as close to equal value as possible while maintaining their championship level play and save money as well. They probably aren't in a rush to deal Marion for guys that can't play PF as good as him.

HOORAY FOR 6 POINTS AND 1 REBOUND FROM TAYSHAUN! WAY TO BE ASSERTIVE, BUDDY!

Switch up the lineups.
Bump Hayes and Maxiell into the starting lineup.
Billups/Stuckey
Hamilton/Afflalo
Hayes/Prince
Maxiell/Hermann/Johnson
Wallace/McDyess/Brezec
Perhaps? Tayshaun is simply TOO passive offensively and is getting abused by other starters.

People. Tay didn't just fall apart in the prime of his career. His game is really a reflection of how the team is playing. When the ball doesn't move around, he looks terrible. Tay doesn't need a lot of shots but he needs touches and to be able to at least handle the ball in order to get into a rythem. He's best when he does things within the flow of the offense.

Tay will be good again once this team gets a coach who establishes a ball movement offense and he has some shot blockers behind him. He's never been great at any one thing but he's good enough in enough things and smart enough to play off his teammates.
