I know you guys are happy to get rid of his contract, but as a Bobcats fan... thanks for the trade.

We have never really had a competent center before, and Nazr, quite frankly, is looking like Shaq to our fanbase.

All in all, we are very pleased with the move.

It's nice to do a trade that's win/win for both sides.

BTW is Nazr playing over his head, and will it end soon? Or is he really a pretty efficient and competent center in the league?

Your welcome. Seeing that he was never going to see time here it worked out great for both teams.

It's nice to see him playing well. Despite the fact things didn't work out in Detroit I've always liked him. He's pretty good when he starts. It's when you restrict his minutes that he develops stone hands and fouls constantly.

I don't think he can keep it up but than again, I didn't think he could do this to begin with.

I liked him more than most but some of the games hes had has been just crazy

There's a reason Nazr has bounced around, and it's not because he's been playing like he is right now.

I hope he continues to be good for you, but I wouldn't be shocked if he fell into old habits quickly.

The thing I respect most about Nazr is that he never publicly opened his mouth or complained about his role. He went from being our starter w/ big expections to falling out of the rotation almost entirely, but he continued to work hard and be prepared for when we called his number.

I said for a long time he got a bit of a bad rap in Detroit. He's a solid 20 mpg backup - we never should have expected him to fill Ben Wallaces shoes.

I'm glad he's doing well in Charlotte. I dunno if he'll be able to maintain his current pace, but I think he can certainly be a solid player for you. His biggest problem was really just foul trouble limiting his playing time. He also didn't get a lot of touches on this team.

Vote for Nazr on the all star ballot.

Haven't we seen this thread before. Nazr is what he is. He is no different in Charlotte than he was here. The standards are a bit different, and obviously he's going to look better with consistent minutes.

I have no regrets about the trade. He wasnt going to do what he's doing now on the Pistons, and he always seemed like a good guy.

He's found a system in which he can start and play well, good for him and good for the Bobcats. Thats about all that needs to be said.

As for your question, its anyones guess whether he'll stay put where he is in terms of level of play, and honestly I dont think that as Pistons fans we saw him enough under conditions comparable to the ones he has now to access whether or not the guy can continue to play well.

I think you'll still see him doing fairly well as a servicable center (maybe like he was on the Knicks) but I wouldnt expect 18 and 10 nights to be a regular thing for a prolonged period.

A less than educated guess, but the best I can give.

Dude dropped 21 & 15 in a losing effort against the Cavs. 9-19 in 28 minutes, but also fouled out.

I don't know man, I mean Nazr did get to start for half a season & he got a solid 25-30 MPG to start the season and he never came close to 20&10 in a single game let alone the performances he has tied together in Charlotte.

Maybe San Antonio & Detroit was a wake up call to him and he was just lazy or maybe in Charlotte he is the 2nd option. I have no clue.

^A lot of it does have to do with touches. And it's not like he's putting up 20 & 10 every night - he's averaging about 10 & 9 or something like that, which is very solid, but it's not like all of a sudden he's a dominant force.

He's up to his traditional #s -- 3.9 fouls in 25 mpg. He's doing especially well overall in those 25 mpg for now, but it's not like he's ever done all that badly. He just can't make it to 30+ mpg with his foul rate, which limits him as a player. He had a great 21/15 performance against the Cavs, but in limited minutes because he fouled out, and had the worst +/- on the team.
