Prince

I love him but he needs to go! This might sound crazy but I would love Ron Artest to be a Piston... What do you guys think?? Picture this Ron Ron on LeBron in the playoffs!! He would bring it on both ends unlike Prince he fades away on the Offense side...
I'm getting too old for this $hit....

Ron Artest is still a lunatic. In a game against the Jazz last week he must have taken some crazy pills because he was extra insane.

An extra tough SF would do us good, but Tay is still better than most SFs in the league. I wouldn't mind giving Artest a shot, but only as a backup - we'd still need Tay when (eventually) Artest goes crazy and gets suspended.

Artest's idea of offense is being a chucker. If the idea is to get him because he's a better offensive threat than Tay -- no way.

Tayshaun is fine. There isn't a "gettable" player in the league that I'd trade him for. He's not perfect, but for the money he makes, he's fine.

Wait until the playoffs, and then get back to me.

The last few years he's been one of our best players in the playoffs, minus the Cleveland series, he's been pretty much essential to all the success we've had.

I'm all for getting Artest here in Detroit, but i do not think Joe will take the chance on him, especially with his past.

Damnit, I though the Artest topic sailed already... That dude will never wear a Detroit uniform.

Sounds like something that Ron would say.

Only person that can stop LeBron is LeBron. Artest is a great defender but LeBron will still own him.

I don't think it'll happen but I think we'll be fine defending Lebron, you have to remember Tayshaun Prince is still a great defender. I also think we have a better inside presence and J-Max will have some time defending him.

In last year's ECF, LeBron shot under 40% in 3 of the 6 games.

Prince totally wore himself out to do that, and was ineffective offensively, but not playing a backup SF had a lot to do with that.

He is obviously above the 50th percentile in terms of all SFs in the NBA, but he's not even a *good* starter anymore. That may have to do with phasing between the 3rd and 5th option in the offense and playing on a contending squad, but *most* would consider:

I think Prince is better off playing with our second unit. That way, he becomes the number one option.

Tonight, he scored 17 points, which was because he spent more time with the second unit.

Better than most SFs in the league? That is a little misleading. It sounds like you are saying he is one of the best SFs in the league.

Tay is probably in the middle of the pack when it comes to starting SFs.
