His first game since going back:

15 points, 7 rebounds (1 offensive), 3 blocks, 1 steal, 7-7 Free throws, 30 minutes

Perhaps most impressive is going 7-7 from the free throw line.

Not something very many centers in the NBA can do.

Samb played 30 minutes? not bad at all. Maybe we should send Maxiell down there to get his stamina up too.

Did he get to practice with the team at all before he was sent back down?

Has he put on any weight since coming Stateside?

While points and assists don't always translate from one level to another, blocks and rebounds often do. Give Samb and Amir a couple years to get and Detroit is going to have a great shot blocking front court with above average rebounding. I love the potential of Samb and Amir in a few years up front.

He is up to a reported 245 at Fort Wayne, that is up from the 195 when he was drafted and 220 he was at Vegas Summer League.

Samb playing wellPistons rookie Cheikh Samb is quickly making a name for himself with Detroit's Development League affiliate, the Ft. Wayne (Ind.) Mad Ants. The 7-foot-1 rookie had a triple-double in the Mad Ants' 123-103 loss to the Sioux Falls (S.D.) Skyforce. Samb had 12 points, 12 rebounds and 11 blocked shots.

Samb's brother is possible entering the draft in the next few years as well, from reports as well he is a lot better then Cheick.

His brother hasn't really progressed as expected and isn't anything special as things stand today. I believe he could be drafted as early as this year, but given his lackluster season(last I heard anyways) he isn't going to declare for the draft any time soon.

holy ****. How do you gain 50 Lbs of muscle (hopefully) in 6 months? That is some serious amounts of steak+chicken+weights. I mean 25% increase in weight that doesn't sound healthy at all.

That's hard to believe, but if it's true, that's awesome.

If thats the case, then we have a solid center prospect.
