Has Maxiell Hit A Wall?

It seems like Jason has hit some sort of "rookie wall". I guess it would be a "third-year wall", but with Amir all of sudden getting minutes, it seems like Maxiell has fallen off dramatically.
His timing is off, and I think he is just tired. Amir has outplayed him in half the amount of minutes. What do we do? Let Amir play more so Maxy can rest, or keep up the minutes for Jason until he finds his rhythm. He is in a horrible funk right now and its disheartening especially given his monsterous play earlier this season.
He was (and still might be) making a serious run at the MIP award, and maybe even 6th man (long shot with Ginobili)..

Sharing Low post duties with someone as athletic and multi talanted as Mr McNice would make any 6'7" player not named Charles Barkley hit more than a wall by now
Edited to add why do many posters on this forum think Joe D drafts people who are concerned about 'awards' other than the one they give out in JUNE.

Max is tired, he has already played more minutes this year than he did all of last year. I would rest him. Cut back his minutes right now. Amir is producing and needs the development more than Max needs to pad his stats. We know what Max can do... why not rest him a little for the playoffs and get Amir acclimated into the rotation?
Max is averaging almost 23 mpg for the season... I'd like to see it cut around 18-19 mpg. Give those extra 4 minutes to Amir, like Flip has been doing. Amir was averaging almost 9 mpg, but the past four games he's up to 12-13 mpg while Max is down to 18.

I definetly think he is a bit tired. Which is why, as stated already, Amir can step in and play some more right now.

I totally agree. Sit Dice and Max as much as possible.

Its really obvious that Maxiel has hit the wall. He definately lacks the explosivness that made him so effective in the past. Now, when he's out there he doesnt really add anything ot the ballclub because his energy was his best asset and he no longer has that. I would be more worried about this i Amir wasnt playing, but since he is and can provide that energy Im not too concerned.

Here's something interesting...
http://www.82games.com/0708/07DET13B.HTM
It shows how well the teams does with Maxiell in "5 man units"
Anytime Max is in with Billups at PG the team does good.
Anytime Max is in with Stuckey or Murray at PG the team does bad.

Anytime Murray is in the game, our team struggles (period).
You can use those stats for or against anyone. Here's a stats for you... when Amir plays with Lindsey Hunter... our team loses. When Maxiell and Amir are on the floor together, our team has a -21 efficiency and only wins 60% of the time compared to when Amir is in with Sheed and our team has a +21 efficiency and wins 100% of the time.

I guess Dyess and Jarvis have also hit the Rookie Wall...
No. They're tired and not used to the minutes. And Max was struggling before Amir came in. They're in slumps.

That's not true
And I think it was something that EVERY group with Billups the team outplayed the opposition, and EVERY group with Stuckey or Flip the team was outplayed by the opposition.

And something else to bust the theory of being tired, he's played much better on no days rest or one day rest than he has on 2 or more days rest.
He scores more, plays more, rebounds more, and shoots a higher FG% with less rest.

isn't a rookie wall when a rookie all of a sudden starts to struggle, looks fatigued, and is considered in a "slump"?
if so, then yes, Dice, Jarvis, and Max have hit a "wall".

Those are totals.
There are certain 5 man units in which Murray has been a part of and have had positive impacts.
I am not a fan of Murray at all, he was the worst player in our rotation and had the worst impact of anyone on our team until Stuckey started playing...
But I was merely saying that Murray in some 5 man units has been productive.
Of course those few don't outweigh all the negatives.
