Giants Upset New England

Post#1 » by m23uza1hem36 » Mon Feb 4, 2008 3:16 am

The New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots in one of the biggest upsets in sports, with this win the Giants once more show that the regular season does not matter. It's what you do in the playoffs when it matters.

Score: 17-14

"Eli throws to the corner of the end zone TOUCHDOWN PLAXECO BURRESS! AND THE GIANTS TAKE THE LEAD!"

I'll put more information of the game later, as well as why game was such an upset.

I'm pretty shocked. I didn't think it was gonna be a blowout, but I thought the Pats would be able to score more than twice.

Ill admit im surprised, but not terribly. I had a bet with my dad going and took the Giants and spread, so i thought it would be close. But still, i expected better from the Pats offense

As a long-time Giants fan and (unfortunately) New Jersey/suburban New York resident, I am satisfied.

As a Junior Seau fan, I'm bummed that he'll probably retire without a ring.

I used to be a fan of him, back in the days he was in San Diego.

I watched part of this game, all i can say that this will not be the only Boston team team to fail to win a championship this year.

Im very happy with this result...i HATE Tom Brady and the patriots...How good was the play by Eli Manning where he was nearly sacked with about 40 seconds left? AWESOME!!! Peyton seemed very happy for his brother

I like Tom Brady, but I don't like Bellicheck or however you spell his last name. I thought the whole team was somewhat overrated

One of the best super bowl games i have ever seen. I do not care for either team at all but glad that the Pats didnt win.

I thought this game was over when Moss get the TD in the 4Q. I was rooting for the Giants- not because Im a fan, but because I hate the Patriots (and generally all other media darling teams). But anyways, I thought this game was over but Eli Mannings last drive was phenominal. This was a great game.

I put some money on the Giants to cover the spread (lose by less than 10) if I would have bet on them winning outright I would have made about 4 times as much.

I'm totally pissed - in a squares pool, $50 per square, double numbers per square (so there were 25 squares), I had great numbers - New England 4 and 1, and NYG I had 3 and 0. So if NYG don't make that last score, I would have had $500! 35 seconds to go! ERRRRRR! I now hate the Giants as much as the Celtics.

I hate NY teams, but when I see a team play their hearts out like that, I can do nothing other than applaud them. Congrats Giants!
