Are Roscoe and Mr. Big Shot Going to Start for the East

With Kidd being traded and Chauncey being on the East roster will he get the start? Also will Roscoe get the start for replacing KG?

On a side note...Is Joe going to make a deal? We really need a big man to control the painted area. The Stones are getting outscored in the paint all season long...

I'm pretty sure they'll let Bosh start over Sheed. I'm not sure about Billups. My guess would be that Kidd would just play for the East during the All-Star Game and then afterwards, he would move on to Dallas, but not sure.

The Stones have been outscored in the paint for years. But Dice's baseline jumper and Sheed's fadaway out of the post are just as good as paint points.

I don't see a major trade happening right now. Dumars is smarter than that. He doesn't trade out of fear.

Since last year at this time...

Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen are with the Celtics
Shaquille O'Neal is a Phoenix Sun
Jason Kidd is now a Dallas Maverick
Pau Gasol is with the Lakers
Rashard Lewis is on the Orlando Magic
Zach Randolph is in New York
Ricky Davis and Shawn Marion are in Miami
Antoine Walker and Al Jefferson are with the Timberwolves
Jason Richardson is a Bobcat
Memphis is sporting a frontcourt of Darko/Kwame

and yet Dumars' team is still at the top of the NBA and in position to win it all come June.

I'm going to trust Joe's judgement.

If Kidd CAN'T play for the East (which would make sense, since Marion CAN) then yes, Billups would be next in line. He's the only other PG on the roster and was behind Allen (not named), Carter (not named), and Arenas (injured/not named) in the guard voting. He's the obvious choice.
I suspect that Jose Calderon would be named to the all-star game in this circumstance, which is disappointing to say the least.

*Roscoe* could start ONLY because Doc Rivers has gone on record and said he voted for Sheed as a reserve. If Rivers voted for Sheed and NOT Bosh (which is very unlikely), he'd start him. However, Sheed had virtually NO fan votes compared to Bosh (albeit he was listed as a C and Bosh a F).

It will shake out to be:
Billups/Calderon
Wade/Hamilton/Johnson
James/Butler*/Pierce
Bosh/Jamison
Howard/Wallace
and if BUTLER can't play any F could be named to the squad.

The All-Star roster is made up of two guards, two forwards and 1 center. I see Bosh starting as a forward and myabe Billups starting at guard if Kidd can't play. However, the only rule is that another guard would have to replace Kidd... no one said it HAD to be a PG... I could see Ray Allen getting the nod before Calderon. Besides Hollinger/Ford and Raptor fans... no one wants to see Calderon as an All-Star... no way jose!! :wavefinger:

I'd rather not see Ray Allen, either, though...I'd prefer Vince Carter, even.

More or less equal star-power?

I never hated an entire fanbase (Toronto) before this year's all-star game.
I wish Calderon never came to North America.

Actually, if you REALLY want to piss off Toronto, making Vince an all-star would take the cake.

RealGM may need to be shut down for a day for further reinforcements.

But if Kidd is removed, I'm thinking they'll either go with Allen or Hedo.
