PP returns from the grave!
And still with insane trades. What would MJ have to be smoking to go with this?

Wow. The nun using the computer is a sight for sore eyes if I ever saw one.
But yeah, this trade is a tad on the crazy side. Rip is better than JRich right now, but Wallace is miles ahead of Prince and Okafor for Max/Dice is a no brainer for us too.

Though the deal is lopsided in our favor, I'm going to go ahead and say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

What if we threw in a 1st rounder?

^That would be a band-aide. I dont really think this deal is within "tweaking" range.

What if we did McDyess, Maxiell, and 1st rounder for Okafor and cap filler?

I want Okafor!
McDyess
Maxiell
Hayes (cap space)
1st rounder
for Okafor and Morrison. Morrison is extremely expendable seeing that Charlotte has Wallace, Carroll, and Dudley all locked up to long-term deals.

Better idea, how about we just swap jerseys with Charlotte.

I don't think Charlotte will give up their big man unless they get much more.

I think this boards infatuation with Gerald Wallace would end pretty quickly if he was actually on the Pistons.
He is one of the lowest B-ball IQ players in the league, has no jump shot, and isn't nearly as effective playing small forward as he is when he is using his speed to beat power forwards off the dribble.

He is having another stellar season and is playing at SF most nights.
There was this one time at band camp err against the Pistons when he ran the point due to all their PGs being out injured. For someone with such a low BBall IQ he did a good job keeping the game tight right up to the vey end.
There is a good reason why Cat's fans hold him in such high regard.

I would not want to deal Rip right now.
I could see moving Prince/Max for Wallace.
I think Charlotte might be open to trading Okafor because he's going to demand a large contract this offseason. I'd expect at the very least $60 million over 6 years. I'm not sure he's really worth $10 mil per year but because he plays center someone will give him at least that much.

Okafor left an offer of 6years/$65 million on the table already.

Which is why I could possibly see Charlotte being open to the idea of trading him.
He's given them 13.6 PPG and 11.1 RPG with 1.8 BPG which is pretty good for a starting center.
But he's not really a guy you feed in the post to get a score when you need one, he's a slightly better offensive Ben Wallace without as much impact on team defense.
Nazr has given them 10 and 8 in just 25 MPG at MLE money.

Yep
I won't bother to go into his health 'issues' either.

As much as I agree with the "If it ain't broke..." theory, this would be a very good trade for the Pistons. And with Jordan starting to take on Isiah like GM qualities, you never know...

Done. We may as well include some more crack for MJ while we're at it.
