Will Blalock was too much of a "true point" in that he looked to set up his teammates everytime down the court. Because of this, he didn't score enough for Saunders taste and is now playing over in Europe after having a very nice summer league with Denver.
Acker was signed overseas the past couple years. We still hold his rights (I think), so if he ever does decide to come back stateside, I believe we get first crack at him.
The simple truth is, young guys get more money and treated better playing over in Europe than they do playing in the d-league here. If you are semi decent you get treated like a star over there... here if you are a decent ball player, you get belittled for not being a star.
Alot of players don't want to come back over here to be an end of the bench player when they can be the star making more money elsewhere.

What happened to them? Neither of them were good enough to make it in the NBA.
Blalock got a few minutes and looked terrible. When you can't shoot, you have to be really good at other things to make up for it. He wasn't.
From what I remember, Acker was playing very well in Europe but had some chemistry/behavior problems with his team. He might have enough talent to make it in the NBA, but so do thousands of other guys. You'll probably never hear from either of them again.
