Mamadou Samb

Do any of you draft junkies know anything about him? Do we have a shot at picking him up/should we?

From what I've read, he's supposed to be better and more polished than Cheikh.

From what I understand on the situation is that the younger Samb didn't progress nearly as much as was expected. Then again he's only 18, but DX said they don't expect him in the draft for a couple of years yet.
Rip Hamilton is a stain on the Pistons franchise.

People expected Mamadou to keep growing like Cheikh and his dad, but he seems to have leveled off around 6'9-6'10. His game hasn't progressed as expected, either. That leaves you with a prospect who isn't different from any number of more skilled American players.

Maybe somebody already passed this along ... but here's a clip of Cheikh during his first game in Fort Wayne. His English is really quite good.

Thank you Lanier, i hadn't seen this before. Noteworthy: Cheick's English seems to be getting better and i remember that he had to wear his own Pistons jersey in his first game for Fort Wayne as they didn't have a jersey big enough for him.

We got him from the Lakers back in 2006, acquired the draft rights to Cheick Samb (51st overall) from the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Maurice Evans. He is currently playing down in our D-League affiliate Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

Mad Ants? Are you serious? Is that the best they could come up with?
