I'm one to believe stuckey's atleast a year or 2 away from being a impact player. He looks good in garbage time & against bad defensive teams but.... ahh whatever.

How about marbury coming off the bench for the playoff run? He's got all the talent you could ask for, he's just missing everything else. If it did happen(which I know it prob wont) do you like the move?

You see former celtics helping each other out(garnett trade). You see laker connections helping them out(gasol). How about isiah throw us a bone? (preferably not marbury, but he could be a deciding factor in the playoffs  . Iknow, I know  :banghead:

This year? He couldn't even play in the play-offs so what would be the point?

Next year? Stuckey will be ready.
Rip Hamilton is a stain on the Pistons franchise.

No.
He's the best point guard in the league, remember? How would he feel coming off the bench?

A player had to be waived by March 1st in order to be eligible for the playoff roster of the aquiring team.

As for Marbury in tha D, NO!

Pistons down by 8. Billups needs a rest so here comes marbury. Pistons play a good 6min or whatever & were up by 2 with 4 min left in the 4th. Billups comes back in to finish out the game while the superstar watches from the bench. Could his ego handle that? Could he become more of a floor leader than a 1-man wrecking crew?

I've always believed you have to take gambles to win a title. I don't know if i'd take this gamble if I was det gm. Too many ifs regarding how'd he fit in. Still would be tempting to see if it would work out or not.

Got stuckey signed for 4 more years after this. The faster he develops the better(duh) were prepared. What kind of messege would it be to stuckey if we benched him mostly through the playoffs? Maybe make him primary backup sg. Man I just hope stuckey plays better than I expect him to

Anybody read the story in the wiretap?
Allegedly we'd be interested in Marbury. I can't imagine how he'd fit in.
Would we waive Hunter? and move Stuckey out of the rotation? Marbury/Afflalo or Dixon/Hayes/Maxiell or Johnson/Ratliff or Maxiell?
Or would we waive Dixon, and move Stuckey to the two permanently? Marbury/Stuckey/Hayes/Maxiell or Johnson/Ratliff or Maxiell?
Or would we waive somebody else? Hermann, possibly? Could Starbury be in Joe's long-term plans more than his crush Walter Hermann?

For me this how I look at it:

The ONLY way possible this would happen is if Joe and Stephon sit down and really talk and he gets Stephon to understand that he won't be the man that if he comes in he must play and do what Flip tells him which I don't think would be a problem since there close. Also he would get him to understand Chauncey is still Mr.Big Shot and he will be on the floor come the final minutes of a game not him. I mean if we ever go small I could see Billups/Rip/Prince/Marbury/Rasheed on the floor at the same time, I'd like this pick up if they get him to understand what his role would be.

We wouldn't be able to handle him financially and mentally; I can see him understand a bench role for 1 month and the playoffs, more then that I don't, he'll mess up chemistry if he comes long term. I could see Hermann dropped for him.

I dont believe it either, but this would make me furious. I mean, what a better way to ruin my year than to push Stuckey out of the rotation and completely **** our team chemistry.

ugh

It ain't so... the New York Post just wanted a juicy story since Marbury and Isiah are making nice for the cameras.

It's far more likely that Saunders ends up in New York than Starbury ending up in Detroit.
