Grant Hill?
OK lets say Detroit wins the championship or gets really close (unrealistic right?) and the Suns get an early round K.O. Still looking for his ring do you think he could resign here?

Never really got the impression he liked it here all that much the first time.
Must be remembering when he said he fell back in love with the game after he landed in Orlando....
Times change, but he had the chance to come here last offseason (we would have loved having a player of his skill instead of Arvis), but he wasn't biting.

B) If he wasn't, I doubt we'd bring him in. We already have 3 potential back-ups at the three (Hayes, Herrmann, Afflalo).
Hill is not an option but Hayes=

I didn't say they were AS good as Hill. I'm just saying, we have already have 3 potential back SFs. Why would we try and add a fourth? Especially since one is under contract next year, and another one is more than likely going to be brought back (Herrmann).

Here is a guy who played his rookie season with Joe Dumars the GM of the Pistons. A guy who forced a sign and trade to get out of Detroit. A guy who turned down the opportunity to return to the team that drafted him to play out his final years and to probably play for a championship, be it the ECC or the grand prize. You are telling me now that Joe should pursue him in the off season? If I were Joe Grant Hill would have to come knocking on my door if he wants to play in Detroit. Grant Hill does not want to play in Detroit and he has made this crystal clear atleast twice. How many more times must Joe take rejection from him? I mean... if you are a true Piston fan you would have loved to see him playing for the Pistons considering what he has been doing in Pheonix this season. But with this topic, we have been down that road, climbed that hill... just please give it up! If it happens next season then it does...if it doesnt then forget about it. I know Grant Hill will have something to regret this season when he sees the Pistons advance to the ECC and the Magics to the second round and the Suns out in the first. On a side note...two of my worse Pistons moment aside from them loosing big games of big consequences were when Houston left for the Knicks and Hill for the Magics.

I wouldn't be so sure that the Suns will bow out in the first round. They seem to be turning it around

Phoenix is 8-6 since acquiring Shaq. Yeah they have won 5 straight now... but against a slumping Spurs team and lotto bound teams... the only legit win in the last 5 was agaisnt Golden State. Half their wins were against Portland and Memphis.
In fact, they have only three wins against playoff teams (Boston, San Antonio and Golden State) but have lost to 5 +.500 teams (Lakers, Pistons, Hornets, Nuggets, Jazz).
I wouldn't be so quick to proclaim the Suns anything other than a mess who are taking advantage of their matchups right now.
