Where is he right now? He's a restricted free agent are we planning on keeping him?

Hes not even technically on our roster and we don't hold the rights to him.

I checked tons of websites for the rosters and RealGm they all have him listed as restricted free agent and we own his rights.

Look at how deep this team is, and then tell me if you see anywhere he has a spot...

Don't we have a ton of expiring contracts? Anyway I guess so, I don't see him playing for Detroit.

I'm not sure but I'm guessing this last off season.

Acker may actually be a nice compliment to Stuckey in a sort of 2-guard front. Both guys are combo guards so having another guy out there to help handle the ball with Stuckey at the point wouldn't hurt. And Acker is surprisingly long and versatile defensively.

IF we did something like package Maxiell & Afflalo in order to get a legit SF backup I wouldn't be opposed to giving Acker another shot at the 4th guard spot. Part of his problem while he was here was tried to force him into being a pg because that was what we needed at the time. Let him play his more natural position after a few year of seasoning overseas and he might look like a different player.

I was just under the impression that since we had him signed on a contract and then let him go, we didn't have his rights. But I wouldn't want him back, he's a downgrade from everyone on the roster

Detroit still owns Acker's rights because he choose to continue playing overseas. This is the last year that Pistons will own him. He had a great year overseas the year before last but this year he has been terrible. Dont think Dumars will bring him over

Last time I checked he wasn't doing anything special in Euroball. I don't even think he's an NBA prospect anymore. He's better off staying in Europe if they want him as he's get paid more.
