I just saw the wiretap article about how he always expects it. I would love him as a backup, though i'm sure he would want a bigger role. Pretty sure he's any upgrade from Bynum.

What would it take?

But seriously, the guy seems to be bench cancer unless (and some would say) even if he is the starter.

Not particularly a fan of his, and obviously he'd just be a one year rental. If we really wanna upgrade from Bynum I'd rather somebody who can grow with the team long term. But I'm actually OK with Bynum. He's not great or anything, but the price is right. I'd rather we spent money upgrading our starting frontcourt before we worry about backup guards.

But no, I wouldn't trade for him, he wouldn't fit here with Stuckey/Bynum already here.

Bynum is a perfect backup PG, someone who can score with the 2nd unit, and who is really cheap. We don't have a legit starter at PF or C - we need to deal with those huge holes first.

Why do you want to move Alston? To try and have a chance to clear up more cap room to Keep Turkoglu?
