Who do you think is better Peyton Manning or Tom Brady?

peyton manning. he finally won a championship so the debate is over.

Tom Brady wants everyone to know that hed have just as nice stats as Peyton Manning if his team ever had anything other than slot recievers.

In 6 games so far: 21 TDs, 2 INTs, 1771 YDs, 72.5 Comp%
On pace for: 56 TDs, 5 INTs, 4723 YDs, 70 Comp%.

Compared to Manning's record season of:
49 TDs, 10 INTs, 4557 YDs, 67.6 Comp%.

If he's got a 72.5% completion rate through 6 games...
Then that's what his season projection necessarily is.

If Brady breaks Manning's TD record, breaks Manning's record for highest passer rating, breaks the record for completion percentage, and approaches the record for total passing yardage...how could anyone choose Manning?

Brady.. I'm a believer. Have been for a while. He is my favorite QB outside of Dallas.

Brady, who is showing that he could have Manning's numbers if he had the same line and WR that Manning has had.

I would of taken Brady before this season. I dont think its a debate anymore. Give the guy more than slot recievers and he throws up similar numbers, on top of the fact he dosent turn into Rex Grossman the way Manning does in crunch time(minues the afc championship game of last year).

Brady always had great protection, now he has the best receiver in football... what did everyone expect to happen?

It is more, pointed toward the doubters. The guys that said, Manning puts up better numbers, dosent have a defense, and Brady cant throw anything more than screen passes, so Manning is better.

I dont know if Brady has the best group of Receivers in the league. Moss I have always thought was atleast top 3 even with Oakland. Stallworth I was never impressed with, and Welker was ehh in Miami.

Brady's ability as a QB to make guys look even better than they are is under rated. The guy went to the AFC championship game, with Caldwell, Gaffney, Gabriel, and Troy Brown. With a washed up Dillon, and a overrated unproven rookie as his backs.

The dude, imo is the best QB of this generation. With Manning behind him. Im confident, that if he had more than slot receivers, he would be throwing for 4000 and 30 td's every year. Plus the rings.

Amid all the Pats hype, Manning took the field against an ostensibly good defense with an offense missing his number 1 receiver and every down back, backed up by a defense missing their key sparkplug, and just decimated his opponent. Like, they didn't even come close to disrupting him, to making it even a little bit hard.

Brady won his rings with a defense about 100x better than Manning's, a genius head coach, and the clutchest kicker ever. Had he had "better than slot receivers" his whole career his numbers may well have been better, but his Pats, like Manning's colts most years, would simply not have been built for playoff success.

Last year we saw what Manning could do with a good playoff defense behind him. Sparked by the return of Bob Sanders, the formerly woeful Colts D clicked at exactly the right time and went from being abjectly awful to somewhat above average. Surprise surprise, that was all Manning needed. With his defense finally bailing him out a little bit so he didn't have to carry the entire load of every win on his shoulders, he perfectly used the second chances he got and picked apart the Pats D, and the rest is history.

I wonder if most people know that coming into this weekend Manning and Brady actually had the same DPAR this season. Because by the sounds of things it would make you think Brady has had a far superior season.

Oh come you knew that, don't be too hard on yourself there buddy. It's definitely not like those silly WARP/VORP statistics in baseball though, thats for sure, with all it's tricky adjustments for defense.

I disagree, they completely torched by the Jets. But, almost everyone of the Colts playoff loses came because of the Colts offense not showing up. They paded there stats by torching the Broncos every year, and that game against kc(one of the rare playoff games, were the defense didnt play good enough to win).

Brady, has never shown the ability to just collapse in the playoffs(unless they are playing the Broncos). He has always been, the guy who isnt going to make you say holy ****, hes not going to bomb a pass 80 yards down field like Elway, but he does the little things to win. Very Joe Montanaish and he finally has his Jerry Rice.
