There's been some whispering that he is hurt, most of the time it's about his legs still bothering him (carryover from last year) and preventing him from getting on top of the ball with his swing, blah blah blah.

Maybe he is hurt, or maybe he has just been in a slump. Happens to everybody sooner or later. It's amazing, and a testament to how good he really is, that it took Pujols seven years before he went into a serious slump.

And maybe he is out of it now. In his last five games he has 10 hits, and his numbers are .500/.583/.750. That would be an OPS of 1.333. Not too shabby.

Albert is hitting the ball now. .298 after last night's debacle against the Angels.

2 HR's and 5 RBI's today, it definitely looks like he's coming out of his slump.

The scary thing is that his .299, 15HR, 41rbi's is a slow/slumping start for Albert. The bottom line, he's fine now, he's pretty much been normal Albert the past month. It's also good to see Edmonds mashing again, and Rolen stepping it up. If only we had ANY pitching.

.302 after Wednesday night's game. Our individiual batting averages are looking a little better, but are still pretty pathetic. We're lucky to be as close to the division lead as we are.

Albert's gradual rise continues. He's now hitting .310 as we go into the All-Star break.

Mixed feelings about his late entry into the home run hitting contest. Guess I'll now watch.

Albert almost up to .320. It's been a steady climb back from the early season woes.

.319 this morning, 21 homers, and 59 rbi's.

He's going to need to drive in a whole lot more runs, if we are going to be competitive. (And maybe pitch a few games)

Why stop there? In the winter he can play center for the Pacers.

Bet he could do it. He has superhuman powers.
