I don't understand what Edwards did wrong. I thought he had a pretty decent game.

He has good potential, could see him being a permanent starting pro QB in the future.

Edwards did exactly as he was instructed: take what they're giving him. I thought he showed good poise and accuracy in the face of a fierce rush, often right up the gut.

If what you are saying is that Losman might ave taken more chances to exploit the Cowboys downfield and that would have given the Bills more punch, I kinda agree with that. But that isn't what Edwards is comfortable with yet.

I've been a big Losman supporter but it's clear to me that Edwards has better pocket awareness, is more accurate and manages the game better than Losman already.

One thing Losman has over Edwards is the deep play and he has that over a lot of QB's in the league but it's not what makes a QB.

I'd much rather have Edward's intermediate accuracy over Losman's long bomb efficiency.

Not to mention that Steve Fairchild and Dick Jauron already trust Edwards more than they ever did with Losman. That's saying a lot considering Losman is in his 4th full year and Edwards just appeared in his 2nd start.

To me there is two important questions that regard this battle.
Who does Lynch like more?
Who does Evans like more?

I think its safe to say that Evans likes Losman more because of the big plays, Edwards seems to spread the ball around more.

However im not sure with Lynch? Does he even mind, I dont know.

However if you are going forward with three of these players, you better make sure they like each other. From what I have seen thus far, Edwards looked superior compared to Losman.

I don't know what Losman's problem is. He's got a great toolset to work off of, and yet it seems like for the past 2 seasons, before the season starts he doesnt make any adjustments and improvements ot his game, comes into the season, dissapoints for the first half of the season, then makes adjustments and does better in the 2nd half.

It looks moot anyways, because Edwards is the starter until he's hurt. Which might not be long, given his medical history.

The Bills spent a great deal of time in practice this week working on deeper routes and running Parrish on deeper drags underneath Evans, with Lynch also getting deeper when he flares out. That tells me Jauron has more confidence in Edwards' arm and the OL. Should be interesting to see how that translates to Sunday.

I like Losman's arms and legs.

If only he had a viable torso and head/brain attached to it.

Sorry man. Losman repsonded well, and I think the downfield threat Losman brought really benefitted Lynch. It should this week too, because the Dolphins can't cover anyone deep and get zero pressure up the gut.

Icness or Next Coming or any other Bills fans, I have a question to ask:

How hard does JP Losman work during the offseason and pre-season? Because it seems like every year (for the past 3 years now) it takes him 8-10 weeks to get into a rhythm, and then he starts showing improvement towards the end of the season, and then regresses into his old self at the beginning of the season.
It makes me think that he's not that hard of a worker during the offseason, and doesn't work to improve his game when everyone else is.

He's considered one of the hardest workers on the team. He takes about a 1 or 2 weeks off and then he goes right back to One Bills Drive and breaks down every play with guys like Turk Schornet, Steve Fairchild and on occasion Jim Kelly and Ron Jaworski.

Although he works hard he just doesn't have what it takes in my opinion. There's something missing upstairs because it takes him a while to catch on to some things.

This was supposed to be his breakout year but he didn't reach that because a lot of bad luck and bad coaching. It almost seemed like the Bills didn't want Losman to succeed at times.

He's still on the hot seat and if he doesn't perform at a very high level for the rest of the season I doubt he'll be here next year.
