Which Safety do you take?

If you could have 1 safety, to anchor your defense, and to build a franchise around, who do you take RIGHT NOW?

Considering everything, I would have to take LaRon Landry.

The guy is 23, heading into his second season and has all the potential in the world to be a Tremendous Safety. After his first season, all signs point to him improving and becoming the leader of this Washington Defense.

After Sean Taylor was killed, he became the leader of the secondary while helping the defense stay strong by picked off 2 passes in a losing effort in the NFC wildcard game.

I can only imagine what he and Sean would've done together.

I still prefer Ed Reed, who is only 29 and still has 4-5 seasons of dominance in his body. Other than his crap season 2 years ago he's among the best who have ever played the position.

If he could ever stay healthy Mike Brown would be a consideration, but he cannot.

I would be so unbelievably happy if he plays a healthy season this year... My favorite player right now, one of my favorites ever.

The guy is a perennial pro bowler if he stays healthy. But damn, he can't.

#1 Troy Polamalu.. He's from Oregon and was a insane RB here. Sold.

#2 Ed Reed.. Scares entire teams of throwing near him

#3 Bob Sanders.. It's awesome to see a little man dominate. If he stays healthy..

#4 Adrian Wilson.. he is a beast and my fav to watch.

#5 LaRon Landry.. best all around athlete at the safety position

When Bod Sanders is healthy he has the biggest impact of any safety in the national football league. When the Colts don't have him there run defense is terrible but with him they are pretty good. In my opinion he won them the super bowl. Without him in the regular season 2 years ago they was one of the worst teams against the run in football. But when Bob came back during the post season they held there own.
