if jamarcus lives up to his potential i see this as no contest, maybe i just see matt ryan as not that great, he'll never be a top 5 (maybe even top 10 qb) and just average, which is why i think you have just as good a chance to get one of the other 3 qb's and he'll wind up just as good

Great, how'd that work out for Mike Vick, who is clearly a better athlete than JaMarcus

How'd that work out for Daunte...remember, JaMarcus doesn't have a Randy Moss...they traded him for a 4th round draft pick.

Atlanta is at least making some moves, trying to force a direction by stacking up the O-Line with Sam Baker.

I think they'll be okay, they should have a great running game with Norwood/Turner

Real hard to compare two guys who play completely differently. It's like comparing Jerome Bettis and Warrick Dunn.

But I was probably in the same bandwagon..I think everybody was, Nobody ever expected what we are seeing.

I guess it goes to show how hard it is to scout from college to NFL.

I can't hate on anyone for doubting Ryan. I'm a diehard Falcons fan and I had the same doubts. He has made everyone a believer now, though. And Russell is still terrible.

The better question now is Jamarcus vs. Vince Young. I'll take Russell.

ryan is actually surrounded by a better situation. everyone knows about the oakland franchse. but the runningback and runninggame is very powerful. solid offensive line. put a running game and an OLINE like that together, makes the passing part easy. jamarcus has no offensive line. no running game. making the passing game extremely difficult. so the situation is different, creating success for one, and not for the other.

I take Russell over VY..
I really don't like what VY has in his locker..while Russell I can see him being a very good QB...now it just depends if Oakland will give him the opportunity to do so.

I thought at the time of the draft that Russell would go down as one of the biggest busts in pro sport history. He doesnt suck as bad as I thought as he would, but hes still one of the worst starting Qbs in the league and isn't smart enough to improve as a QB. Its completely (Please Use More Appropriate Word) to draft a QB w/ the 1st overall pick in the draft who got a 16 or 17 on the ACT. Thats barely better than guessing on every question.

As much as I dislike Young, I would still take him over Russell

VY was never given a chance to be as bad as JR. Were he given that chance, I'm confident he'd be worse.

At least Vince Young can run. Russell is like Young without the mobility.

Well Russell does have a cannon of an arm. However accuracy is an issue.

As for this thread it's pretty funny, really like the studcracker and bbj comments.
