Hey guys, this is my first mock on this site. I was a mocker on another site before getting banned for a big misunderstanding, but from reading your guys info i like what i see and hopefully will make a big contribution to the insight some of you have.
So here you guys go. Order based on record. Not playoff seed
1. Detroit- Andre Smith, OT, Alabama- Some people may ask, why not go QB? Because whatever QB they do have behind center will be planted on his royal arse all day long if they dont get someone in there to block. Not even Peyton can throw behind a pack of swiss cheese. Whoever comes in gets it right and drafts a big man here.
2. St.Louis- Michael Oher, OT, Ole Miss- OT back to Back? UH HUH! St.Louis did not pick one last year at #2 and that showed. Now they need one, or else Bulger and SJax may get really seriously injured. Oher can play guard or tackle and will fit in nicely in St.Louie.
3. Kansas City- Brian Orakpo, DE Texas- Tony Gonzalez thinks Tyler Thigpen should be the QB of the future in KC. Well, since Tony is almost ready to demand another trade, Tyler it is! Orakpo is a monster, and will pick up where Jared Allen left off.
4. Seattle- Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech- They were pulling receivers off the streets last year. This kid is a playmaker, plain and simple. Matt Hasselback and Jim Mora will be very very glad to have this kid on their side opening day.
5. Cleveland- Malcolm Jenkins, CB, Ohio St.- Another playmaker off the board. It was a tossup for the Browns and they decided it was down to one of two Buckeyes. They take the corner, only because their secondary couldn’t stop a pack of ants.
6. Cincinnati- Beanie Wells, RB, Ohio- Well now they have an Spanish number and a Beanie. But names aside, he is one heck of a player. Big body, quick feet, and will now be reminding the Browns twice a year that they picked the wrong Buckeye.
7. Oakland- Eugene Monroe, OT, Virginia- This is why this pick was made. Al Davis saw Taylor Mays 40 and made a doodie in his diaper. While in the bathroom wiping it, someone with some sense locked him in and then made this pick. They need help on the line, and Although this class is deep, there are many teams that need tackles and they are definitely one of them.
8. Jacksonville- Jason Smith, OT Baylor- Now 4 O-Lineman have been picked in the first 8 picks. Although that might set some kind of record, it is well worth it. The only team that may have a case for worse luck then Seattle’s WR corp is Jax’s OLine corp. They had a man shot and like 6 more injured. Jason is flying up boards and will help out a lot.
9. Green Bay- Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech- Should Michael Johnson go top 10? No! Will Michael Johnson go top 10? Yes. Why? Because he is 6’7’’ with good speed. He reminds me of Gbaja-Biamila who was cut by the Packers this year. Michael will be good, but I don’t know if he is worthy of this selection.
10. San Francisco- Matt Stafford, QB Georgia- DING DING DING! Those who said the first quarterback will be taken at 10? You are correct! Although Hill has played good, he is not their future, this kid is. He has some things to improve, but so does everyone.
11. Buffalo- Aaron Curry, LB, Wake Forest- Could easily be the best defensive player in this draft. He will have a great opportunity to show it in the AFC East.
12. Denver- Taylor Mays, S, USC- Denver’s defense is not good. That is why they when from 8-5 straight to 8-8. Taylor Mays could very easily become a superstar in this league.
13. Washington- Duke Robinson, G, Oklahoma- Washington needs help. They were looking as though they could be favorites in the NFC, now their picking in the top 15. The reason? Their O-Line. Duke could play G or T and will add a lot of versatility to this line.
14. New Orleans- Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois- This kid is a stud. A flat out playmaker. He gives this defense something they don’t have. Covering skills. They cant do it. Now they can.
15. Houston- William Moore, S, Missouri- They need a safety. That simple. They see that Mays wont fall to them so they prepare for the next best thing, William Moore. This could be a breakout team next year, and this kid could be one of the reasons.
16. San Diego- Rey Maualuga, LB, USC- San Diego will have Merriman back next year and now will have Rey there with him. This team could be nasty next year and this guy, as a rookie, could be one of the players leading that.
17. New York Jets- Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma- Brett Favre is done. I don’t care what anyone says, he is done. Even if he comes back, he is done. And Kellen Clemens is not the answer. They get lucky and Bradford drops to 17.
18. Chicago- Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri- Size, Speed, Hands. Easily could have gone at 4 had Crabtree not entered the draft and could have also gone if Al Davis wasn’t wiping his butt over Mays. This kid is a great target and although they don’t have a good Quarterback right now, him and Orton will make a good combo and he can make Orton a little better than he really is.
19. Tampa Bay- Percy Harvin, WR, Florida- They need a playmaker. Percey needs an offense. He can play WR, RB, and heck, he even wanted to play CB for a game but Urban wouldn’t let him. Percy is just a baller and will be able to show that not too far from where he has been showing it.
20. Detroit- Everrette Brown, DE, Florida State- Boy, this draft is really deep. This is a kid who could possibly have made a case for number one, and the same team will grab him at 20. He is an outstanding playmaker off the edge and him and Ernie Sims will wreck havoc on the defensive side of the ball. Great start for the Lions.
21. Arizona- Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia- This is a kid who could have gone top 6. Now he is at 21. Edge has said he will not be returning to Arizona, and I do not feel Tim Hightower can carry the load on his own. They now have a very dynamic duo.
22. Philadelphia- Rashad Johnson, S, Alabama- It comes down to Johnson and Gresham. They feel they have a better chance for Gresham to be at 28 so they take Johnson. Brian Dawkins could be a FA and is not getting any younger so they may need to start looking for his replacement.
23. Minnesota- D.J. Moore, CB, Vanderbilt- He adds much needed ballhawking to this Vikings secondary. Although they need a QB, no QB is good enough to take here, but DJ is.
24. New England- James Laurinitis, LB, Ohio St.- Although they drafted Mayo last year. They run a 3-4. Although James doesn’t fit the 3-4 exactly, he is the type of player that will do whatever it takes to adjust.
25. Atlanta- Peria Jerry, DT, Ole Miss- 25 picks in and now only 1 DT taken off the board. And he is a good one. Peria will put a big body in the middle of this defense.
26. Miami- BJ Raji, DT, Boston College- Now another DT off the board. Although BJ did get suspended for his grades, he still had a stellar season and is now ready to be a force in the middle of this Miami defense. Ferguson is old, and they will need his replacement soon.
27. Baltimore- Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland- He will give Flacco a decent target to throw to. He is big and has good hands. They need another corner, but with Moore coming off at 23, there really isn’t one worth taking.
28. Philadelphia- Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma- They get their guy. LJ Smith is a free agent and may ask for a lot of money. They would rather pay it to Gresham who could pair with their currents targets and pose a BIG threat for Donovan McNabb.
29. Indianapolis- Tyson Jackson, DE/DT, LSU- He can play inside in a 4-3, and outside in a 3-4 so its up to Indy on what they want to do.
30. Pittsburgh- Alex Mack, C, California- He could be the best EVER center prospect coming out of college. Pittsburgh takes him and will decide whether to move him or their current Center over to guard to fill the void for Alan Faneca.
31. New York Giants- Brian Cushing, LB, USC- They need help at LB and Cushing will help. He almost got taken at 26 by Miami but Raji was picked instead. He was the lesser named LB to Maualuga and will show why his name should have been put with Reys.
32. Tennessee- Terrence Cody, DT Alabama- Tennessee is worried now that Fat Albert left. Now they have a whole in the middle. At 32 they get top 15 talent.

Looks like a mock you would have seen in August, before the games were actually played. Like I say every year with one of these, nice effort. But a lot of the guys you have going high have played themselves into the 20s and maybe the 2nd round.

Quoted for truth. Though Brian Orakpo wouldn't be a top-5 pick in any month.

I really don't see Curry falling that far, and the Broncos will go Linebacker. I don't think Mays will crack the top 10, especially when Oakland needs a tackle badly.

Kind of what Drugbust said, though I do see a lot of potential accuracy from about #20 on down.
Terrence Cody did not even ask the NFL Advisory Board for an evaluation, so it's like 99.5% he's going back to school.

It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Re: My Mock w/ explanations
I was thinking that the Saints should go with a Safety before they take a corner, but if they can get an athlete like Vontae Davis, i think they should definetly do it. Him and Tracy Porter, their 2nd rounder last year who got injured 5 games into the year, could be one of the best young Corner tandems in the league. But then again William Moore is also very intriguing.
Taylor Mays is obviously a beast of an athlete, but he does NOT have all the 'football player' tools you look for. Mays' instincts are marginal, and as Icness has said he can really only play one way- 20 yards off the line just sitting back waiting to kill a wideout. He doesn't have elite versatility.
He also has a bit of a 'laron landry-nitis' where he constantly just goes for the big hit. His ball skills aren't that great and he doesn't always force the action.
He is one HELLUVA Athlete, but he still has some things to work on. I see him going somewhere from 6-13 but anywhere higher would be a bit of a reach.
