It sucks we have to throw Desalvo and Igawa on the same day, absolutely sucks. But if there were a team we could do it against its the Rays. Hopefully our bats will heat up.

I won't be able to watch the game tonight....I have a game of my own and am going out because its the weekend and I don't have work.

I expect detailed and well thought out posts from all of you. Thanks.

Against the D-Rays? D-Rays have an offense, they just don't have starting pitching or a bullpen. Carl Crawford, Baldelli(I know he is probably injured), Upton etc. those guys always kill us. I fear us losing these next three games. Moose is very unreliable, one game he gives up 1 run and another game he gives up 7 runs. Plus, he is on 10 days rest and we all know how he uses his routine as a crutch. Throw out Igawa and DeSalvo who won't go more than 5 innings each. We could easily lose the game monday too because our bullpen would be exhausted come Monday. I dread this series. -Jitpal

But we also always kill DRay pitching, at least for the most part. Thats what I was getting at. I know how good the DRays offense is.

The Yankees plan to purchase the contract of DH Shelley Duncan today. No official word yet on who is being sent down.

UPDATE, 1:44 p.m.: The 27-year-old Duncan was hitting .295 with 25 homers and 79 RBI for Scranton. I

Add him to the list of scrubs that have shut us down this year.

Anytime you ever get excited about this team in any way. Maybe they turned the corner and are gaining ground. Maybe the division and wild card don't look so far away, they just do something like this. They need to come back today and win both of these games but with Igawa and Desalvo pitching, I doubt it. -Jitpal

With Mooses performance and these scrubs pitching today, the bullpen is going to be totally shot.

Farnsworth comes in with a 5 run lead in the 7th. If you have to use him, do it with a big lead.

Whoo! Yeah, Melky!

I seriously believe we only keep Farnsworth because of how hard he throws the fastball. He can't even hit his targets.

Just after looking so good and making it seem like he's fighting for his Yankee life, Proctor gives up a HR.

Well today sorta makes up for yesterday's debacle. Now we need a win tomorrow to take another series.
