Tonights Game: September 11th

Shea Stadium | 7:10 PM ET

Buddy Carlyle, RHP (8-6, 5.21)
Braves (73-71) @

Orlando Hernandez, RHP (9-4, 3.32)
Mets (82-61)

Scouting Report:

Braves: Carlyle struggled in his previous outing, unable to make it out of the second innning while yielding three runs on four hits and three walks. The 29-year-old lefty beat the Mets on Aug. 7, limiting them to three runs on six hits over five frames.

Mets: His summer sabbatical over, El Duque returns. He is to pitch after 10 days off because of a ligament strain in his right foot. He twice has started against the Braves this season, producing no decision, but a 2.77 ERA. Atlanta has batted .143 and struck out 13 times in 13 innings against him.

I think its pretty much a forgone conclusion that you guys have the division. Our focus is an incredible winning streak without Chipper to try and capture the wildcard.

Still very possible. If you can sweep Philly, your chances increase ten-fold. Is Chipper out the remiander of the season?

We've heard that for the past month or two. I'm not expecting this team to sweep anymore and I refuse to get my hopes up.

I can't even remember the last time Atlanta has been over .500 over it's last ten games. Atlanta can be over .500 over it's last ten games if they can manage to win today.

It's been a very long season!
