Re: 2012 Ask Jeff Risdon a Question
how bout quinn sharp for oklahoma state icness? not only is he a badass punter but he's a great kickoff specialist too leading the nation in touchbacks
ive always thought he had a shot to get drafted
edit:
and schwab i believe foles was thought of as a mid rounder coming into the year, id bet he'll go into a mid to late rounds now

Is he one of the guys who needs a good showing in the Senior Bowl to make himself a draft pick, or can he sneak in somewhere?
Like stud said, he's probably a 4th/5th round pick talent-wise that bubbles up because the QBs after the top two in this draft are dreadful.
Quinn Sharp will def. get into a camp, beyond that it's up to coaches. There's not many old punters still sticking around right now.

I'll follow you on twitter also..I love draft season.
Also, I don't understand the hate/reluctance with getting a twitter account..it's all what you make of it. People act like you're forced to follow and read everything that rich spoiled celebs and athletes post.

It's more that I'm further cluttering my already crowded mind. Plus I'm not real good at being brief. Maybe tweeting will help, who knows?

I've got a gut feeling Blackmon falls pretty hard during draft day. AMICRAZY? Who do you see being the guy to take the tumble from the 'end of college season top 10 lock' to deep first round territory.

I've got two:
Alshon Jeffery. WRs that can't break 4.6 in the 40--and he hasn't yet in workouts--do not go in the top 20, period. Wouldn't surprise me if he's not a top 5 receiver.
Jonathan Martin. The more I hear from people, the less enamored they are with him. Just because the tackle class is pretty weak he'll probably stay high, but he may not have been a 1st rounder either of the last two years.

Jon Martin seems like a really good choice. I could see him falling, especially if some other tackles test a lot better than him.

Re: 2012 Ask Jeff Risdon a Question
Hey Jeff, I was wondering on what the Packers seem to be looking at in Free Agency with regards to Flynn.
The only FAs they have that matter are Wells, Finley, and Flynn.
Wells seems to be all but assumed by Packers fans but I'm not nearly as confident. It seems like if the Packers don't have a guy resigned by the offseason it means that he might be hitting the road. Considering that Wells is now 32 (granted in Center years that's like 27) is there any way that Wells isn't a Packer next year?
Everyone wants to know what's up with Finley. He probably sets the stage for Flynn. He's a beast when he's on, but the drops are killer. The Packers seem interested, but I think he might overvalue himself, especially considering the drop issues he's had.
Flynn is who I'm really curious about. I've heard from somebody I believe knows what's up, that the price on Flynn is a 1st and a 3rd. If that's true, than the Packers have to run with that, right??
Also, any inside info on who the Packers are poking around at down in Mobile is always appreciated.
Thanks Man

Here's another question, which if you get right will probably get you a scouting/GM job somewhere lol...
Who's the next great former basketball player turn NFL TE?

What are the odds that the Colts would pick RG3 over Luck? The latest wiretap makes it sound like they haven't made up their mind yet.

I dont see Blackmon falling past #8/9. Carolina will take him if he's still on the board. Make Cam happy!

The guy I can see drop right now is Dre Kirkpatrick. Just got popped on 1/17 in Fl. for possessing marijuana. I could have seen him as a possible pick for Carolina at #8/9 assuming Claiborne is off the table already. But Jerry Richardson is still very gunshy about taking guys with a Red Flag on them. Gotta think he is off their board in the 1st. I can see him dropping several spots into the late teens or early 20's.

I'll know a lot more after next week.
I think the Packers are thinking that if they franchise Flynn they will need at least a 1st and a 3rd. That seems like a reach but I don't know at this point. I don't think they know at this point, that's part of why all the GMs spend 3 days in Mobile.

Honestly I don't think there is any chance. Maybe .1%. I'll see if I can find Rob Lowe and ask him...

IDK about any hoopsters right now but there's some NAIA guy that is supposed to be something. I watched a couple of youtubes and he's a great physical specimen but that's all I can say for now.

I was reading somewhere that Michigan St. forward Draymond Green is someone to look at at being the next bball to football TE

I haven't lived in Spartyland for over a year, but my recollection of Green is that he couldn't catch an entry pass or hang onto a rebound. He's got the build and speed for it though.

What you do know about Ryan Tannehill. I didn't watch any Texas A&M games. I've notice ESPN and mock drafts have been high on him as of late. What makes him so special?

Re: 2012 Ask Jeff Risdon a Question
Watching guys like Verson Davis, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, and Jimmy Graham dominate in the playoffs really wants me to get a freak tight end for the Browns. Are there any insanely athletic tight ends prospects in this draft? We took Jordan Cameron last year, and I still have high hopes for him, but I would love to have two really athletic tight ends. It seems to me that offenses that features TE's are the way of the future in the NFL - would you agree?
