Re: The Draft Thread
Bengals making a trade? Surprising, and I'm not sure I like the move.
I think McClellin is set up to fail as the Bears' first-rounder.

Re: The Draft Thread
Bears going the opposite direction of teams that want to go big nickel as a base defense. They have 3 LBs that can all cover and stay on the field for 3 downs. But if they don't add another pass rusher (inside preferred) it's not going to go well.

Re: The Draft Thread
Still just one OL taken. Bengals very comfortable trading back because of that.

Noticed that too. That doesn't happen very often. I'm sure they'll trade down from their other pick to replace that 3rd rounder.

I'm so happy right now. Don't even care about Chandler Jones getting picked here.

That's pretty nice. With Dre Kirkpatrick and four more picks in the first three rounds, Cincy's doing pretty well.

is this just teams going for high ceiling impact/playmaking players or is the OT position the new RB?

Re: The Draft Thread
Bengals moved back for Doug Martin, or so I'm told.
I love Kendall Wright to TEN but Jake Locker completed less than 35% of his passes longer than 18 yards in college.

Read my final draft notes column and check out what was said about the tackles. The coach I'm quoting works for a team that sorely needs a tackle. Just not a very good class. And I do think the league is downgrading the value of tackles. Keep in mind some think QBs won't be allowed to be touched at all within 5 years.

They're really slow this year. The website is already reporting the Cleveland pick is in yet I'm sure we won't know it for five minutes or so.
Milking it out I see.
