If he declares, what's the stock like on Jamison Crowder?

I know he's undersized, but he can take a hit and looks to be a Wes Welker-type possession receiver.

Amazingly deep at WR. The top isn't elite but there are at least 10 wideouts worthy of 15-65 overall.

The center class is very strong. No Alex Mack but at least 6 guys who will be NFL starters for years.

RB class is interesting. No 1st rounders, might not even be any 2nd rounders, but there's a lot of useful backs. Carlos Hyde my #1. I like Seastrunk too.

On the other side, terrible year to need a defensive tackle. Even worse if you need a nose. Sorry, Chicago & Dallas.

Safety not real great. Again, sorry Chicago & Dallas.

I think I saw this AM that he's heading back to Duke. Haven't scouted him but I have seen a couple Duke games (missed the TAMU bowl though), didn't look special to me.

No love for Bishop Sankey?

Sankey is a good talent but has lots of miles on his tires already. Has 400+ more carries than Hyde since 11th grade. That's a concern.

Hey Jeff, assuming the Bears go defense, can you throw some names out of guys they may be looking at 14? Thanks

Bears at 14 need to look at Ha Ha Clinton-Dix at safety. Louis Nix would be fine if he's back in shape, which he wasn't this fall. I like RaShede Hageman from Minnesota but he's very boom/bust as a 3-technique.

I'll give you a later-round DT I know they've spent time on: Ryan Carrethers from Arkansas State. Massive beef in the middle, cannot be moved backward.

Not sure if you've scouted him or if he even has a future but do you think Ok states Calvin Barnett can play on Sundays? 1st team all big 12 last 2 years. I've got a soft spot for the guy

Where do you think Dominique Easley falls. And with some good safeties In fa and there being a good chance tillman leaves I think I'd draft Dennard out of mich st. He was basically used the same way revis was with the jets and did it at an elite level in college. But I wouldn't be mad if we took haha

He looks like a two down DT that gives way to a rusher in nickel and passing packages. Solid talent, has some disruptiveness. Plays on an edge like the guy across from him just raped his grandma. Needs some technique refinement. I have him as a 4th round pick, could go 3rd or 5th too from what it looks like.

Easley is a good question. The best way to figure out where he goes is looking at Tank Carradine last year, very similar situations. Working in Easley's favor is that he can play either DE or DT and this draft class is thin at DT.

Right now I'm slotting him at the top of the 2nd, in the 33-40 overall range. I could see him clawing into the 25-32 range if his rehab is going well.

Dennard would be great in Chicago and Tillman is absolutely the proper comp. Dennard is my #1 CB, really enjoyed watching him erase half the field against some pretty good receivers.

Who do ypu think would be the best dlinemen in the 3rd available to the bears. Right now, if I were the bears I'd go Dennard in the 1st and dion Bailey in the 2nd then going best available dt or de in the third

How's this for a bears mock based on what I've read on where players could land

Rd 1: Darqueze Dennard
RD 2: dion Bailey
Rd 3: Marcus Smith
Rd 4: Calvin Barnett
Rd 5: A.J. Tarpley
Rd 6: Aaron Lynch
RD 6: Gabe Ikard
RD 7: Jalen Saunders

If Easley is there for the bears in the second I would take hime and go safety in the third. Maybe Ahmad Dixon, Drummond, or Bucannon.

In that range you're not likely to get anyone demonstrably better than Stephen Paea. Just not a class with much impact. Lots of solid rotations guys for 4-3 fronts.

One guy to look at is Kerr from Delaware, skilled beef from FCS. Garrison Smith from Georgia can flash at times. Those are end-of-draft guys.

In 3rd/4th, you're looking at guys like Kelcy Quarles from SoCar, DaQuan Jones from Penn State, Timmy Jernigan from FSU. All have talent but legit warts too.

Mariota. Will be the #1 pick in 2015 draft. He's Kaepernick with better accuracy already.

For guys in this draft, I actually like Bo Lokombo quite a bit. Not gonna be a star but he's the kind of heady, quick-reaction type of linebacker that is a slightly above-average starter for a very long time.

I like Keliikipi more than most draftniks too, think he's a solid 5th round prospect. Taylor Hart is boom/bust to me. Not a Ricky HH guy.

Ifo is going back to school so he's out of the equation. I worry about his physical strength because guys like Kasen Williams and even Anthony Denham of Utah pushed him all over the place.

Mariota over Winston in 2015? I think that's a little bit bold.

There's no guarantee that Winston leaves after his sophomore year. He actually kinda sorta seems like the type of kid that enjoys being in school.
