Live Draft thread

I'll be posting here as frequently as possible during the draft, feel free to join me.
Some last-minute thoughts from NYC:
--I haven't had the chance to check out many other mocks (6 hours of travel) but it seems there is great variability to them. That's because nobody has any idea what the hell is going to happen tonight.
--Biggest regret in my final mock is dropping Jimmy Smith so low. I now think he's a top 20 pick. Probably have Bowers about 10 spots too high
--Jake Locker is a top 10 lock, according to two different people who would know. Oy.
--I will believe Andy Dalton is a top 20 pick only when I see it. Rick Spielman is not that crazy.

Thanks for all the great articles / mocks / discussion this year Jeff.
Hoping the Bears get Danny Watkins or Marvin Austin tonight.

Any legs to these pats-cowboys rumors? Mort reported that they're talking about pats moving up to number 9 for Cameron Jordan.

My better half has exiled me ( and kids) out of the house tonite. This is my favorite night/weekend. I also love NBA draft. I like setting high expectations for my teams and their new team members.
Enjoy the night. Go Cowboys, and boo like hell Jets and Giants fans.

Todd McShay for the Packers
1 - Aaron Williams - DB
2 - Ryan Williams - RB
3 - Taiwan Jones - RB
4 - Curtish Marsh - CB
4 - Cedric Thornton - DT
5 - Marcus Cannon - OT
6 - Kai Forbath - K
7 - Mario Addison - OLB
7 - Byron Maxwell - CB
Bask in the incompetence of McShay. If a dude posted this on Bleacher Report he'd be eviscerated. McShay is a draft "expert".

Local radio is still all about the falcons moving up to draft green or jones - i just don't see it.

Two very recent tips from a very reputable source that will be on-camera later tonight:
Cam Jordan to the Niners or Cowboys inside the top 10.
Browns "probably" have a taker at #6 for someone looking to move up and get Julio Jones. Browns will fall back and take Fairley or Quinn.
He also really liked my thought of Chicago trading up for Liuget, but he thinks Liuget will be long gone by the 20s. I am tending to agree now.
I have officially hit overload status, just gonna unplug and clear my head for the next hour so I can enjoy this thing. Go Lions, don't screw it up!

Would be a waste IMO, they'd do better getting a deep threat in the second round and stocking more talent.
Roddy is a monster, you don't need another stud at WR tbh.

Wow lots of non-first round players are at the draft. Moore, Herzlich, Cobb. At least one of them could still be sitting their waiting to get drafted on saturday...

I remember reading about Herzlich, they said he could leave whenever he wants, they just wanted him there so they could do a piece on his comeback trail.
Now I thought that was just for Herzlich and the rest of the people were sure top 20 picks, like you said though, a lot of these guys are here which I didn't expect. Why bother bringing so many players and have them sit in the green room for x number of hours?

What incentive do the Browns have to make a trade with the Falcons? Thats a looooong drop.

3 recent quotes overheard:
"Dareus to Buffalo is a slam dunk"
"Cleveland will not be picking #6"
"Washington has a taker at #10 if Julio Jones is still around, guaranteed"
these are from people you will see on camera tonight who would know.
