4.38 40 for RG3 is just plain nasty. Rams wont have to worry about picking him at #2. Someone is going to pay a high price to get him at #2. And it takes pressure off of Vikings to think about him at #3 when they want Ponder to be the man there. So Kalil is going to be a Viking is my guess.

Andrew Luck runs a 4.59 time, much better than I expected, the same as cam Newton last year

I'm already excited to see Luck's and RG3's pro days. I'm slowly turning the corner on becoming an RG3 guy over Luck.

I wonder if the Colts FO is starting to weigh their options.

I'm actually shocked by Luck testing the way he did, much more athletic than I gave him credit for. RGIII is impressive no doubt, sure fire second overall pick. Rams are in position to really help their team.

RG3 would be considered a beast athlete of a QB if he wasn't such an accurate and smart player. Serioulsly - how often is a QBs athleticism underrated? Its hardly mentioned with Luck even though he will definitely be one of the top 10 most athletic starting QBs in the NFL.

Kendall Wright with a 4.61 dash time. LOLZ, I always knew he was a totally overrated prospect. No way he can go first round now. I never thought of him as a top 5 receiver in this draft, boarderline top 10 maybe. He should be a 4th rounder. Short speedy receivers who aren't fast shouldn't go high.

Guys that showed well on Monday:
Dontari Poe, 4.87 40 and 44 reps...at 340+ pounds. Best 10-sec split among linemen too. Not OOTQ that he's a top 10 pick. Seriously.
Melvin Ingram, could make him a top 15 pick
Luke Kuechly, now most certainly a top 20 pick
Mychal Kendricks--my favorite sleeper--is no longer under the radar. At least I had him high publicly before today.
Demario Davis had good-not-great times but looks like a Greek God.
Dont'a Hightower got a lot of strong draftnik tweet support

Jamell Fleming benched 24 times, George Iloka 21, both very impressive numbers for DBs esp. Iloka because of his extremely long arms. Long-armed guys struggle at the bench, myself included, but he outdid Mike Adams, another long-armed guy.
Bad day:
Vontaze Burfict, who has gained at least 15 pounds from his playing weight and ran a 4.93 and then a 5.02 unofficial times in the 40 before hiding behind his iPad at the training table. Undraftable IMO and I suspect a lot of teams will feel the same way
Travis Lewis, who has lost weight but still ran in the 4.8s

Wow that's just sad to see from Burfict, someone I loved heading into this year. Wright is a guy that would redeem himself at Baylor's pro day I have to imagine.

Wright is apparently complaining they started the clock early on him because he moved his arm before the rest of his body started moving. I don't know about that; all I know is that in every Baylor game I watched--and I saw every Baylor game this year and most last year, including one in person both years--he NEVER had trouble getting behind the defense. Sort of a head scratcher. I'm hoping to be at their pro day.

Burflict went from being the next Ray Lewis, to sucking on film but being an amazing athlete who some team would risk taking in the first, to being one of the least athletic linebackers at the combine. Why would anyone draft him? He sucked in college, sucked at the combine, and sucks as a human being.

overrated bc he ran bad? he was phenomenal last year and a top 3 wideout in the nation, that baylor team was a 2 man team last year (til the rb came on towards the end) and he was a large part of their success

Ravens take him. Watch it happen.

How do we sort out the RB picture now? Obviously Trent Richardson retains golden god status but the field is pretty deep in the middle rounds. Lamar Miller also appears to be a first-round lock after another nice showing.

My RB ratings are going to diverge from most others. I'm much higher on Isaiah Pead and Bernard Pierce than others are, not as high on David Wlson or Chris Polk.

Right now I think they get drafted something like this:
Richardson-top 6
Miller-in the early 20s
Doug Martin--late 1st-very early 2nd
Polk & Wilson--2nd round, probably top 50
Pead, Pierce, Chris Rainey--3rd round
Turbin, L. James, R. Hillman, Poole--4th round

If you are looking for hope for Burfict, see Ahmad Brooks. That was one bad dude at UVA, similarly stiff on the field and in drills. It took a few years (and Mike Singletary converting him to Jesus) before it paid off, but he just got a huge contract and largely earned it. Same could happen for Burfict; too early to just write him off, but it's not going to be a quick process to get him to be a functional NFL player.

I had a class with Poole in middle school and went to several HS games. Guy can run and he's not a knucklehead to my knowledge. Should be a good player for someone and I hope he has success at the next level.

Are you kidding? Lamichael James is a great quality RB who, i am calling to be a superstar, will NOT be going in the 4th round. He excelled in Oregon and could be excelling on an NFL team in the near future.
