For the Niners, I don't really understand why people keep mocking us a safety in the 1st. Unless we're preparing for Goldson to walk, it doesn't make sense (and even then, Elam is more of a SS than a FS). Right now I we'll be looking at a corner or a DL at #31/32 (fingers crossed for 32!). Some names that could make sense: Xavier Rhodes, Logan Ryan, Sharrif Floyd, Sylvester Williams, Jesse Williams, Margus Hunt. This is a deep safety class though so I could definitely see us taking one with one of our three second-day picks.

Love the Toilolo pick, I think he's going to be a steal and with Delanie up for FA we could be in need of another TE.

Don't see why we'd pick Taylor with Gore, Hunter and James all sharing time next year. If we pick a RB I would expect it to be a big power guy somewhere in the third day. Maybe Bell from Michigan State in the 4th or 5th.

WR is also definitely an area of need, though I can't say I know anything at all about Wheaton.

I'd also expect us to take a rush LB somewhere in the first three rounds.

Just my $0.02, overall a good mock.

Thanks! I like hearing input from fans of other teams. 49ers have a helluva defense without many holes but I heard that Goldson may be hard to keep. I'll make sure to take your thoughts into consideration for the 1st round guy. By all indications Taylor has really wowed scouts at the Senior Bowl and has experience under Harbaugh. That and Gore has been here awhile and the 49ers may want to think about his eventual replacement sometime soon. Thats what my thinking was on that pick.

Oh don't get me wrong, I like Taylor and I'd be happy to see him as a Niner. I just don't think we'll be thinking RB early enough to grab him.
