Top 10:
Joeckel
Ansah
Floyd
Geno
Fisher
Milliner
Jordan
Barkley
Mingo
Austin
From my own ratings, only 7 of those are in my top 10, though Austin is 11.
I just started the "what I would do" mock but it won't be done for at least a week. I'm to CLE and still no QBs picked.

I don't think the Vikings will take a QB in round 2. They already signed Cassel to put some token pressure on Ponder for the starting position and I don't think they'll truly look to replace him unless he flops again next year.

Trenches heavy with 4 of the first 5 picks for SF, could very well see that happening. They do need OL depth, especially at T, something that has been overlooked since the unit really gelled this year. I could maybe see them going corner at 95 instead of another 5-tech.

Jeff,
Still Ansah at two despite the Jags large contingency at WV pro day and the attention paid to Geno?

Probably smoke screen to be able to move down. I suspect Jacksonville will be taking a lineman, either DT or DE. Not sure that guys will be Ansah though.

They're not taking Geno Smith. IMO the pick is either Ansah, Jordan, or Floyd, maybe Mingo but I doubt it.

Pretty excellent battery of picks for the Niners. D. Jones is my #1 (realistic) target in this draft

yeah i don't see a qb taken for the vikes very early either
they seem to be set with ponder as the qb and now they have the backup spot filled

I can't see the Pats taking a corner in the first round seeing there top three corners seem to be set in stone. My guess would be DT or DE.

Ideally Id love to trade down and take Mingo, however if Rex was on board with Mingo Id have to trust him. Similar to Coples last year, we saw the impact Coples can have already.
I wouldn't mind Hunter, I actually love all three of the Tennessee WR's. Yeah I know Rogers transferred, but I'm especially high on Rogers. I think he's done a great job addressing his character issues.
Don't like Nassib at all, I personally think it's foolish to take a QB especially if this is the end of the Ryan era. Id hate to have a new coach come in and want to get his own QB.

A fresh 5-round take:
http://www.detroitlionsdraft.com/2013/0 ... o-edition/Yes, EJ Manuel in the top 10. It could happen; I can tell you he is higher rated on some boards than Ponder and Gabbert were, including by a couple of teams picking in the top 10.

Icn did Belichick kick your dog or something? Everything I read from you has some sort of jab included with the Patriots.

On the contrary, I love Belichick. He is the best football coach post-Bill Walsh without question. I'm just not a fan of how he handles the draft or his underlings that are responsible for their scouting. Very few people in my line of work feel any different. Their draft strategy is to accumulate loads of picks and spend them on oft-injured guys with specific traits from specific programs. It was worse with Pioli, who I very much cannot stand because he's an arrogant, condescending, unapologetic jackass.

that last line seems par for the course for anyone who's coached or managed under belichick
