shuffle up 5, 6, & 7, and also 1 & 3, and I think you could make some money betting.

Also, no chance in hell the Lions go CB at 10. None. In your scenario they'd take Mack or Clinton-Dix. That's not me saying that, it's Martin Mayhew saying that.

Also, Ogbuehi is returning to school. Not sure either that Miami would take Taylor Lewan, who is a little too Richie Incognito for comfort. They're peas in a pod.

Just curious, but why not? Dennard seems like a good mix of BPA and need.

Lions are not taking a CB that high. They've drafted four in the last two years, three of them can play, plus still have C. Houston and are working on re-signing R. Mathis. They probably should consider upgrades, but it's not GM Martin Mayhew's style. One of the reasons Caldwell got the job was his intention to play the young guys and see what they can do. Slay & Bentley both will start (DET uses base nickel) and C. Greenwood will be 5th CB.

Thanks Ice. Follow up question, why Clinton-Dix? I thought you guys were pretty set at safety with Quin and Delmas

Delmas widely speculated to be a cap casualty. If he goes, safety becomes top need. I think he'll be back though, but he's gotta come down on his salary a lot.

Gotta be honest Cammo, other than Beckham I don't like any of those picks for the Niners.

SJB's skills are way too underdeveloped to be a second round pick IMO, he's just ranked highly because everyone is going gaga trying to find the next Richard Sherman (when realistically he's probably not out there).

Reid would be a great pick in the 4th, but second is too high. DL just isn't more than a day 3 need for us right now - and it doesn't really make sense to reach for a position that's not a need.

Fiedorowicz - fine player, but why spend a second day pick on a TE3? I doubt the FO has given up on Vance yet.

Not sure where Kirksey fits in our system.

Fuller and Moncrief are my targets for a Rd1 CB and a Rd2 WR.

Other than those guys, I may disagree with the evaluations but those are all positions of need for the Niners except OG...we may add a late round guy but we've already got 6 guys competing for probably 3 backup OL spots (OG/C Looney, OG Snyder, OT Martin, OT Bykowski, OT Marquardt, OG Seymour).

The Niners are nearly impossible to mock though and you did a good job.

Yeah, the guard thing was just a BPA grab. I feel like I have a better grasp on SF's needs than a lot of other teams, at least based on some of the blog's angry comments. :)

Even some of the "professional" jounalists as well, frankly. If McShay mocks us another defensive lineman in the first round...

I've learned over the years that the so called professional journalists often times know a lot less than we do, they just happen to be on TV or the radio.
