Dwayne Bowe vs. Robert Meacham...who's No. 2?

Post#1 » by PhilipNelsonFan » Wed Apr 4, 2007 11:42 pm

I personally believe that Dwayne Bowe deserves to be the No. 2 WR in this class over Meacham. All Meacham offers is a raw talent IMO, whereas I see Bowe being far more polished and, as a result, more NFL-ready.

Where do you stand?

Feel free to throw Dwayne Jarrett and Sidney Rice into this discussion if you feel so inclined.

I'm and LSU fan, and get to see both guys a lot, but I would go Meachem over Bowe.

IMO Bowe isn't very polished either.

I'd go

Meachem/Jarrett
Jarrett/Meachem
Bowe

Give me Jarrett over all of the WR's that are mentioned in this thread. At the end of the day I want the guy that will show up and play, that has proven hands.

Jarrett
Meacham
Ginn
Bowe
Rice

Thats how I have it after Johnson...

I prefer Bowe to Meacham. Bowe's track record is a little better and I love his hands and mindset. Neither will go before Ginn though, regardless of ability at playing WR.

My ranking of WRs:
1. Johnson
2. Bowe
3. Ginn
4. Meacham
5. Hill
6. Jarrett
7. Gonzalez
8. Rice
9. Allison
10. Robinson

I'm not a fan of either Steve Smith nor Craig Davis, which no doubt means one of them will be an awesome NFLer.

I would say Meachem has better potential, because of his height and speed.

Bowe finally broke out this year, but he still had bouts of inconsistency.

What leads anyone to believe Ginn will be a solid NFL WR? He was a marginal college WR and has said himself that his optimal pro position may be at CB. He's got to learn route running, body control, reading coverages and basically every other nuance there is to being a WR. Right now he's a less polished Bernard Berrian with dynamic return ability.

I think Ginn and Jarrett are the two next best receivers.

Think Anthony Gonzalez sneaks into round 1, not sure where that ranks him in this conversation but keep the name in mind.
