Nice work, already i would say the rbs and lbs look better than this year and maybe the o-line also.

My preseason top 5 prospects:

Cowboys with the #2? I honestly do not believe the Browns will be that bad next year. I think that pick will be around 7 or 8.

This season's draft was pretty weak, but the elite of 2007 are better than the 2008 elite.

Just think of the best 5 players.

Johnson>anyone in next draft
Peterson> Mcfadden, Hart, whoever
Adams= this one is a bit more iffy
Russell/Quinn> any QB's next year
Thomas> Any linemen next year.

2006 draft is going to be the best draft we see in a good while, aside from the lack of strength at WR.

I'll argue that Mcfadden is better than Peterson and Brohm is at least the equal of Russell. Some put Baker and Long in the same class as Thomas and certainly better than Brown, just my take.

Another name i think that will rise up the ranks is Brian Cushing olb USC. He's either been nicked up or played out of position for a couple of years and i think he needs to keep his weight around 240 for now but you're talking someone that is 6-4 and has 4.5 speed. peace.

You can argue that for either of those guys, but Jamarcus has far more upside than Brohm, and Peterson's only knock is durability. I don't see either of those guys grade out higher than Russell or Peterson.

I thought during the season that Brohm was the best QB out there and i had seen several LSU games , Russell is going to look great in workouts but he has a lot of work to do to be a successful QB. I'll agree to wait and see how things pan out.

I agree, Brohm is much more polished at this point, but I have watched Russell develop in front of my eyes as an LSU fan, their are two things that leave me most impressed other than the obvious physical tools.

1) He had great success(67% on throws) in a pro-style offense, that isn't easy to run, especially at the level he ran it.

2) He is more developed pocket passer than most with his tools, and even when he scrambles, his eyes are down field looking to throw the ball.

I think McFadden is terrific, but somewhat overrated.

1. Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville: If he had entered this year's draft, which he considered, he might've even been the top overall pick.

2. Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas: He's as good Adrian Peterson, this year's top back, if not better. McFadden has the explosive speed, plus power.

3. Sam Baker, T, USC: He will be the next in a long line of great offensive lineman from USC. He's a massive man at 6-6, 310 pounds.

4. Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU: He's a power player who will see a lot of double-teams this year. Ben Grubbs, this year's top guard, said Dorsey was his toughest opponent.

5. Lawrence Jackson, DE, USC: You can never have enough good pass rushers in a draft, and this guy tops them all. He really brings it off the edge.

6. DeSean Jackson, WR, California: This junior can fly. Every time he touches the ball, the opposition has to fear the big play. He's a heck of a return man as well.

7. Jake Long, T, Michigan: He's just behind Baker on the list of top tackles. He's the key to the Michigan running game.

8. Calais Campbell, DE, Miami: This junior can be a special pass rusher. He has great size and speed. At 6-8, 265 pounds, he's huge.

9. Kenny Phillips, S, Miami: At 6-2, 205 pounds, this junior is a good tackler and has great speed. He could be the next great safety in the league.

10. Chad Henne, QB, Michigan: Don't think he's another John Navarre. I tend to think he's closer to Tom Brady than Navarre.

The article wasn't bad until now. Henne's biggest problem has always been poise and toughness, how is he like Tom Brady? I guess I'm not as high on him as most but he's nowhere close to a Top 10 pick in my mind.
