Maybe not. He can definitely line up as a RB just like Alstott can at times.

He wanted to be viewed as a rb but scouts werent so quick to agree, he is going to be able to lineup at either backfield positions and probably in the slot as an H-back. The Rams are probably one team that can most utilize that talent but that was probably when Mike Martz was there.

Thats what I was thinking...
He'd more than likely be used as an H-Back, and maybe even splitting time at RB and TE...but I bet his predominant job will be to receive passes out of the backfield.

Leonard and his agent both marketed him as a RB who isn't afraid to play FB or H-back alongside a top-tier RB. St. Louis will grant that wish. And he won't be a problem.
I know they've got a lot of sets where Leonard and Jackson are split in the backfield, and one goes out into the slot in motion. I also know they're hoping to keep Jackson under 400 total touches, yet they expect him to get 20+ carries a game (that's 320 carries at least).
I think you're going to see him play a lot of 3rd down back, some H-back, but also some FB in front of Jackson the way TB used Alstott when he was still a decent runner. I would guess about 8-10 carries and 2-3 receptions per game, probably about 50 total yards per game.

I agree with gswhoops, he's a fullback that can run. like patrick pass or something.
