Ive been watching this guy since my dad's a huge IU fan but where do this guy project to go in the draft?
He's a man out there, 6'5 probably around 230 and runs a 4.4
even though they lost to penn st. today he had 14 catches for 142 yards and 2 td's.
Id have to think he projects to go in the 2nd and with a good combine in the mid-late 1st b/c of his size and measurables.

He's probably going to clock in the upper 4.4's but with a slow split--he doesn't accelerate real well. I bet he has one of the best bench reps of any WR there though.
I'm sorting thru the WRs right now, and there's a lot of guys that are clustered as 2nd-3rd round grades. Hardy is one of them, along with Burton, Doucet, Kelly, Hall, Jackson, Douglas, Monk, perhaps Urrutia if he shows something great late. Some of those guys are going 1st round just out of necessity, but that's another story.
I like Hardy a lot--he does a lot of the smaller things (downfield blocking, selling routes, body control) better than pretty much everyone else in that grouping. He's not a great YAC runner and doesn't always get good separation, but he catches anything near him with his hands and he's got the football IQ that is becoming increasingly rare in WRs. He's certainly in the mix for late 1st but will probably go in the 1st half of the 2nd round to a team that has a need for a WR but won't spend a #1 on one, like Atlanta, Houston, Cleveland, SF, maybe STL or CHI

Someone is going to have to explain why Jordy Nelson isnt in the top 4 or 5 receivers in college football, the guy is 6-3 and 215 and has never been caught from behind from what i hear. Someone please enlighten me.

Nelson has crept up some but he's still in the 3rd-5th round range right now. His best official 40 time is 4.58, but I'll agree he plays faster than that, but he isn't real quick either. He's got a rep for being high-maintenance too; whether he deserves that or not IDK--hard to picture a kid of his background being "needy" though. He's somewhat hurt by KSU's diminished profile, but making the finals for the Biletnikoff Award (he's got a good shot) would help him out. I envision him as a #3 or #4 WR that allows a smaller/quicker starter to slide into the slot in those packages. IMO he'd be a good fit for Washington with their 3rd rounder.

Good to hear from the guru as always, first off he hasnt been timed in the 40 in quite some time, those were his words. Ran like a 10.56 100 meters in highschool though. Do me a favor and click on youtube(i know its youtube) and type in his name. Watch his catch and run against Agib Talib(probably a 1st rounder)of Kansas and tell me what kind of speed he has.I'm probably going to do a top 20 or so soon and he will be in there.

I watched that KU-KSU game, Nelson played very well. What's funny is that Talib has seen his star fall a bit because of games like that, even though the Jayhawks are undefeated. They're not in my direct realm so I haven't spent much time on Nelson (or Talib).
The time I have is from their spring practice intrasquad game--almost every team does the official ht/wt/speed measurements at those things.
