We all remember what happened to Brady Quinn after his dismal performance vs. LSU in last year's Sugar Bowl: he sat in the NFL Draft green room for over five hours, when he plummeted to the #22 pick of the Browns.

This all happened because pro scouts and coaches became suspicious of whether or not he could come up big in big game situations.

Will the same thing happen to Colt Brennan after his less-than-stellar performance vs. Georgia in this year's Sugar Bowl?

I guess they're comparable in that both situations had QB's with vastly inferior teams who were unrealistically expected to carry them.

Brady and Colt both had to take terrible talent down south (both games were basically road games), so I wasn't suprised by either outcome.

But they're not comparable as players. Even in a terrible game from Brady, he still had a 1:1 TD:INT ratio against a better defense. But in both cases, I would judge them by mechanics and potential instead of one performance against a much better team.

I wasn't trying to compare them as players, being that their styles are almost totally different, just as how Colt may have done the exact same thing Brady did.... maybe even worse.

no one expected colt to be a top 5 pick like brady

colts top position wouldve been a late 1st rounder, now he's around the 3rd round most likely

at least quinn had a touchdown.

yep i agree, colt even said he wouldnt be surprised if his draft stock fell,

Does Matt Millen still have a job?

I don't know what's a more drastic drop #1 (before the season), but even during the draft the Browns were supposedly considering him at #3 AND THEN to drop to #22...or go to from late 1st to 3rd?

I think Brady Quinn still went higher than he should have. I don't see him amounting to much in the NFL. Colt was never projected as high and I think he'll probably have to wait longer than he actually deserves to because of the Sugar Bowl. Quinn had a much better supporting cast.

Funny how in the last two seasons we have seen Heisman finalist QB's end their careers on absolutely disgusting notes after getting paired up with SEC teams.

i think the only way colt was going in the first was if he won the hesiman and had a mammoth game against gerogia

otherwise he was a 2nd-3rd rounder
now he might drop to the 4th
